VERY FISHY ... MOU to be signed on black boxes & remains of MH370 BUT only by M'sia & Australia
Malaysian Chronicle ^ | April 18, 2014 | Malaysiakini

MH370 Malaysia and Australia are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on jurisdictional issues upon the finding of MH370, such as the handling of the black box and any human remains.

According to the New Straits Times, the MOU is to avoid any legal pitfall that may arise. However, its details will not be made public.

The NST report quoted Department of Civil Aviation director-general Azharuddin Abdul Rahman (left) as saying that Malaysia and Australia will be the only parties to the MOU, and that it was drafted in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) rules.

Azharuddin said Malaysia would lead most of the investigation, while Australia and other foreign agencies would assist.

The MOU is reportedly being studied by Canberra officials at the moment, while their Malaysian counterparts hope it will be concluded soon and endorsed by the cabinet at its next meeting.

The terms of the MOU will come into effect once any part of the aircraft is found.

It is said to be very detailed and comprehensive, even taking into account where human remains will be taken upon recovery and where autopsies will be performed ...

“Australia has its own laws on the handling of bodies of accident victims, and so does Malaysia... So a specific agreement on this is crucial....

The report also stated that police investigators have carried out a re-enactment of what they believed happened to MH370 at the KL International Airport.

“The timeline for the re-enactment began from the night of March 7, from the time the passengers and crew checked in, right up to the runaway and MH370's parking bay.

“The exercise, kept closely under wraps, involved only police personnel and ran through late into the night,” the report said.

It’s a mute point. Odds are they will never find the plane.

What plane? What bodies? It was never meant to be found so what’s the point of an agreement? And exactly what else is in the agreement that they’re keeping mum about.

IMHO not where they chose to look for it anyway.

I doubt they’ll recover any bodies, but if they do, there should be some kind of agreement among the parties involved. Since it is still being negotiated, why would they release the content?

Just what kind of agreement is necessary when recovering the remains of anyone, outside of notification and disposition of said remains to the next of kin?

According to ICAO rules and without any agreement to the contrary, if any part of this aircraft is recovered including black boxes they are flown immediately to Kuala Lumpur and put under Malaysian jurisdiction which is in charge of the investigation.

None of the 14 nations involved want that to happen thus I suspect they have all deferred to Australia, including the US, Britain, and China, hoping for it to atleast emerge as an equal partner with Malaysia in the investigation.

It’s possible that politics is holding up the “finding” of the aircraft and until this agreement is signed nothing will be “found”.

They are dealing with people from many cultural and religious backgrounds and all of them have different ways of handling the deceased.

I have thought all along that the same type of weapon used on the twin towers was focused on this plane in an opening act of WW3 but everyone says I am nuts so take it for what it is worth which is not much.

Autopsy and identification. . .that is why you want an agreement.

To handle the remains, do you want some turd-world country with huge muslime ego issues (Malaysia) or a first world country with excellent facilities and medical personnel (Australia).

Yeah, easy to take-over a jet with some sort of weapon (not high-jackers), and then put high-jackers on the jets as part of the deception, never-mind lots of passengers calling loved ones reporting what was going on and a stewardess on the company phone reporting the high-jacking. . .much easier to feel it was all a great conspiracy using some sort of ‘death-ray.’

Of course, the fact there are no facts or evidence to back-up your feeling proves just how good the cover-up is.

Diabolical plot where no evidence IS evidence.

Cheers and thanks for the humor.
