Lets hope they fixed the crappy iOS flat colorless look they decided to copy from Google. I put up with Google’s craptastic UI and obtuse functionality because it is FREE. I certainly wouldn’t pay $600 for it

Oh, the Android phones cost NOTHING??? They aren't subsidized just like the subsidized iPhones? The Samsung S5 doesn't cost $600 un-subsidized? Oh, wait, it does. . .

By the way, iOS 7 was not a "copy from Google." Those who've claimed that cannot point to even one example of an Android screen that looks even remotely similar. Others claim it was a rip off of Windows Phone 8. . . same problem. No examples are ever forthcoming.

Oh, and you CAN get an iOS 7 iPhone with a two year contract for zero dollars out of pocket, just like free "craptastic UI and obtuse functionality" Android phone, AND have the excellent UI and best user experience for essentially FREE.

I hope so as well.

I love Apple products, own many and was hugely disappointed with the last major iPhone/iPad OS update a few moths ago. As soon as the updates completed and I opened my phone, I thought, this doesn't look and feel like an Apple.

It really made me concerned for the future of the company post Steve Jobs. He would've never signed off on this.

IOS 7 is awful. I hate it. It has ruined my iPhone 4. Anyone know how to downgrade back to IOS 6? Steve Jobs would never have signed off on this garbage.

When I updated to 6, I lost the ability to turn the wi-fi on and off. Completely greyed out in settings. Would love to have that back. If there’s a way to upgrade to 7 and get around the problem I have, I’m all ears. Have there been any issues reported with 7 yet?

That was a known issue with a few iPhones. Sync your data to your computer, restore the iPhone to factory, restore the iOS, do any updates, and then re-sync to restore all your apps, photos, music, etc. That should fix the WIFI problem.

If that doesn’t work, make an appointment at the closest Apple Store Genius Bar and they will most likely swap it out for a new one. Make sure you sync it to your computer for safe keeping of your data first. . . but they’ll generally do that too.

It cannot be done.

There was a tiny window of opportunity when it could, so I’ve heard but that has passed and we’re stuck with it.

:(

Swordmaker still peddling the same apple tripe as the olden days. I have a customer of mine that bought a new cRapphone 5S and they clicked on a link in an email to listen to an audio file (some kind of medical information) and they tried to turn it off but the player that popped up wouldn’t respond to hitting the pause button (how you stop video or audio, right?) They deleted the email in question and it was STILL playing the audio. I suggested taking the battery out as when anything something is frozen that is the best way to just cut the power. Then I remembered... Apple still doesn’t let users have access to remove their batteries... Luckily for them running down the battery wasn’t the only solutoin, but finally got it to reboot after several attempts at a soft reboot

swap it out for a new one? Why is that, can’t the so called “geniuses” figure it out without having to replace a new phone with a newer one? Sounds like bad hardware or bad firmware no matter how you slice it. Apple’s iOS7.0 is like Windows a ME/Vista/8.1 tragedy. Not even you, Swordmaker can spin this one.

Are we talking IPhone’s? Mine is a I4 and won’t update the software, phone is like new after 2 yrs. Contract is up in May. Touch plate is a little sluggish to the touch, it has no scratches on it. Slow to load when not on Wi-FI.

My phone is full of junk from FB contacts I can’t get rid of. I delete them, they come back.

I do not bank on my phone. I have 1 game Icon, On Star, Kroger’s. FB is useless on the phone.

It does have a lot of music and Grandma pictures.

Question is, is it worth updating to a newer phone?

Husband has the Samsung Gal 4, that thing eats your battery with out the Task Killer.
