wow...just....WOW!

I mean, the woman was here illegally, but couldn’t he have a little more compassion for her than THAT?

That’s just unbelievably cold.

I mean I cannot imagine passing up the funeral of someone that came and cared for my home and family after a new child arrived.

This really does pass my understanding of what is progressive decency.

In all fairness, it would probably cost 1.5 mil for him and the entourage to attend... and we would all criticize him for that.

Obama’s interest in his black family goes as far as what it takes to serve his self interests. He is a white homosexual partying in a black closet.

The article makes it sound like she was here on a worker visa.
The truth is that she came here on a two week tourist visa and never went back to Kenya. Imagine how many millions of freeloaders like her are in this country.

I’ll bet he didn’t chip in more than $20.

I hate Obama for a thousand reasons, but this isn’t one of them.

When my grandfather died, there was a *ton* of family drama that came out with the emotionalism of the moment. A LOT of anger and hurt and everyone was lashing out at everyone for a variety of reasons.

So I paid for my mom’s ticket to see her father buried and I spent the evening in my room praying for his soul. Heck, I prayed for the whole week for him and for my entire family to survive the loss of our bedrock.

There are a lot of reasons to skip a funeral - and the living are a big part of that.

I’d also like to point out that his presence at the first Ft Hood memorial overshadowed the dead and the families of the deceased. It would’ve been better had he not gone and his little speech hurt more than it helped.

Had he gone to his aunt’s funeral, the funeral would’ve been all about him because the press would’ve made it that way.

No. I don’t begrudge him stepping aside for this one and wish he’d do it more often.

Exactly right. And it would disrupt the funeral. Of course, that's how a normal person would think. This idiot will tie up whole cities to make a political speech.

I wonder if he chipped in anything to her while alive.

That statement (Aunt Tetootie was his child’s babysitter long ago) will be countered by tomorrow, with Obama saying ( with a slight air of annoyance)he ‘barely even knew her’ before she got evicted a few years back. By next week, that counter statement will be walked way back by Jay Carney, saying “As the President has repeatedly stated, he had a decades long, close relationship to his beloved Aunt Tetootie, a confidant and irreplacable matriarch, and anyone who continues to refute that statement is expressing disrespect for the President and indifference to his family’s state of grief.”

I really do not believe he chipped in a flat dime. Truth is, Obama’s alleged family embarrasses him.
