A murder suspect who has the word "murder" tattooed on his neck is hoping to have the tattoo removed as he fears it will prejudice him in front of a jury.

Jeffrey Chapman is accused of murdering Damon Gailart in 2011 in Kansas and is worried that the tattoo would have a negative impact at the trial.

Under Kansas law, tattoo artists are only allowed to practise in licensed facilities, which also rules out a professional coming to visit Chapman in jail where he is currently held in custody.

Gee, now isn't that just a crying shame.

LOL! My wife jokingly said maybe he originally chose that tattoo because he thought he might end up as the innocent victim of a murder one day.

That got me thinking. If he had been allowed to get it covered up, perhaps the might have done so by obscuring the letters to look like a bunch of different letters, you know, to spell out maybe something like . . . well, how about . . . "LETHAL INJECTION"?

Remove the tat, then fire up Old Sparky.

Tats can be removed with a chainsaw.

Did he attend a seminar on stupidity or did it just come naturally to him.

As someone who knows nothing about the law, I saw the DA should object because it points to intent.

Dermablend can do the same job. His family (not taxpayers) can buy it anywhere.

“.....it points to intent.”

That certainly seems to have been the case.

Given what we know about this loopy evil punk at present..I;d have to say he was born stupid..and has clearly worked diligently to become even more clueless.

I can ‘see’ in his eyes that he is not really wrapped all that tight.

The tattoo is just an added downer.

Why not let a biker gang help him - You know, using the method(s) they use when someone gets kicked out of the club or wants to leave....

“Sure you can leave.
Let me retrieve ‘our’ jacket and colors AND
any ink you may have that connects you to us”.
