It sounded like things I hear from the or below average everyday non thinkers. Imho.

the hatred of Palin is stunning.

Stay with it until the end, though. That's when Stewart moves from his typical clip juxtaposition and satiric gymnastics to a timely history lesson about the founding fathers and the rule of law.

The rule of law means nothing in post-modernist liberal America. The Federal government refuses to enforce border security and immigration laws or even those regarding stolen identity and illegal voting or tax evasion (especially if you work for the IRS).

The defense of marriage was not defended by this administration etiher.

Separation of powers? Why Obama has a phone and a pen, no longer relevant.

The President and VP routinely call out the Supreme Court and the Legislators ("equal" branches of government) as being "wrong". Supreme Court is the arbiter of what is "wrong" in law.

Jon Stewart is an asshat metrosexual. God help us all when he eventually becomes the face of CBS News.

The Bundy incident concerns me because now some FReepers are starting to look to Cliven Bundy himself - who is not all there - as some kind of political guru.

Well I think he's sunk himself now.

It's interesting to contrast the Bundy incident with the Rosa Parks incident.

The left had planned for months for a bus incident. There was a woman before Parks the refused to move, but she wasn't a very sympathetic character and so the left refused to rally around her. Instead the left waited patiently for someone like Parks. They knew they needed someone who could be views sympathetically. They didn't rush in.

The point is, the left are experts at that sort of game. They're experts at crafting and controlling the message and image. They know it matters.

50+ years later and conservatives are still bumbling. Some have uncritically embraced Bundy who looks like a racist and now the entire conservative movement is tainted.

Conservatives are the political equivalent of the guy that walks out of the bathroom with toilet paper on his shoe because he can't be bothered to look and pay attention to even his basic appearance. Confidently he strolls around looking ridiculous. Hannity did the same by engaging with Stewart. He went in recklessly, and unprepared, and over-confident and Stewart made him look foolish.

I wonder if he realizes that, not only did he embarrass himself, but he embarrassed all conservatives.

I’ve given up watching Hannity entirely. I used to tune in just to listen to what guests he had on had to say, but I don’t even do that anymore. And half his show is devoted to endless video/audio repeats of what others have said. And he will do the same repeats night after night after night. His show is like listening to a broken record.

You do realize that the boss has stated that "FR is Palin Country" don't you?

Hannity’s a real journalist who gets it right,

Hannity is as dumb as soup and Stewart proved it.

Too many tabs open on your browser, eh? You are aware that you posted this to Free Republic? The foul-mouthed, American-hating Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz is in the enemy camp. Sean Hannity has the courage to use his real name and even if he sometimes fumbles, he's mostly on the right side.

Yeah, you won’t catch him facing Mark Levin.

Can’t stand smug John Stewart so I did not watch the whole clip but I saw one part where he compared the pepper spraying of protesters with surrounding a man’s ranch with a small militia. That is where I stopped. Did he make any valid points or just make silly faces ?

You actually buy that a leftist comedian (an unfunny one, I might add) has the power to rip anyone? Lil' Jon Leibowitz is nothing more than a petulant hack. While I'm not a big fan of Sean Hannity, who has the courage to not hide behind a fake name, he intellectually towers over the pipsqueak Leibowitz.

And it means nothing to Bundy, either. He doesn’t even recognize the federal govt. You know, that thing our Founding Fathers created. And apparently, neither does Hannity.

You’re joking, right?

No, not at all. I fully recognize and will concede that Sean Hannity lacks the brilliance of, say, Mark Levin or Senator Ted Cruz. That makes the contrast between the intellect of lil' Jon Leibowitz and Sean Hannity even more stark. Hannity is a like a Cray Supercomputer compared to a Leibowitz, little more than a child's abacus.

And that says nothing about Leibowitz's hatred for America. Hannity, for all of his faults, loves this great country and has done so much for our brave military heroes, above. Leibowitz hasn't done a thing except tear down the country that afforded him so much (undeserved) opportunity.

But again I ask, with all due respect, are you really on board with the core values of Free Republic? Defending that hard leftist Leibowitz, an abortionist and homosexualist, isn't consistent with a pro-God, pro-life and pro-gun site for Conservative Activism.

Jon Stewart changed his name to distance himself from his father Donald Leibowitz who left the family when Stewart was only nine years old. I don’t understand what’s so wrong about that.
