Malaysia to release MH370 report

Malaysia will release a preliminary report next week on the disappearance of flight MH370, Prime Minister Najib Razak said, as his government battles criticism over the transparency of its investigation.

"I have directed an internal investigation team of experts to look at the report, and there is a likelihood that next week we could release the report," Najib told CNN in an interview aired late Thursday.

Malaysian officials said Wednesday the report already had been sent to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which requires countries to submit within 30 days a factual run-down of what is known so far in any air crash....

Najib was asked why investigators need to look at the report before its release, and whether that indicated it contained something "embarrassing".

"No, I don't think so. But I just want it to be -- this team to go through it. But in the name of transparency, we will release the report next week," he said....

Malaysia's government has come under fire for a seemingly chaotic initial response, while scarce and often contradictory official information has prompted transparency concerns.

The cabinet this week also approved plans to set up what Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein has called a "highly credible" international team tasked with investigating what befell MH370.

His ministry was still assembling the team, whose members would be made known next week ...

"As I've consistently said since the beginning, we have nothing to hide," he said.

The investigation will not cover any findings from a criminal probe being conducted by Malaysian police...

The investigation will not cover any findings from a criminal probe being conducted by Malaysian police.

Why not??? Isn't what may have happened to the plane and its passengers a criminal matter??? Why is that off limits??? What are they hiding????

I agree — it is being edited and redacted to death.

The families should demand that the report come directly from the ICAO and it be released NOW along with the raw ATC recordings.

Why bother releasing a report? Everyone knows you’re lying.

This will be a report sent to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) giving them the current status of their investigation.

The question once this is made public will be: Why didn’t the ICAO give them an F on their report and throw this thing back at them and tell them to do it over again with footnotes, facts, and hard data.

Cliff Notes version of ‘official report’....Two Muslims took a plane full of mostly non-Muslims to their deaths. On land, or in the sea, they are dead. Allah be praised, the pilots are heroes either way. The plane-could be gone, could reappear over infidel airspace...keep wondering.

Libraries will file this under 895, and nowhere near Class 500 or 900.

The Malaysians will claim that their report is incomplete because they don’t have the black box.

And yet they have done everything they can to keep from finding the black box.

They refuse to allow this to be called a criminal investigation because in doing so it just might lead them to the black box and the criminal who just might be their own pilot. And they can’t have that —

The Russians have an interesting take on this, published last week in PRAVDA Online:

‘The second mystery around Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370
18.04.2014 By John Chuckman

“A second mystery around the disappearance of Flight MH370 has largely gone unnoticed: why hasn’t the United States been in the forefront of providing information about it? The implications of this question are massive.

“America has a fleet of the most sophisticated spy satellites, called “keyhole” satellites, covering the earth’s surface daily with imaging systems comparable to those of the Hubble Space Telescope, but instead of data from any of these, we read of data from China and France. One can understand that the CIA does not want others to understand fully the capabilities of its satellites, but surely the lives of more than two hundred people are cause for some information, however indirectly supplied…”.

Continue reading at: http://english.pravda.ru/society/stories/18-04-2014/127402-malaysia_airlines_flight_mh_370-0/

They compare MH 370 with Iran Air Flight 655 in 1988, Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie, TWA 800, and United “let’s roll” 93, all of which they claim were shot down by Americans…

EVEN THE COMMENTS are interesting: “...Boeing knows where all their planes are at every moment. 20 Chinese scientists were on board who knew the secrets of a new secret weapon. US has been waiting for Pakistan to speak but they will not…”.
