Check out Vitamin K2 MK-7. It does what these people are claiming, according to studies.

“but why grains?....why?.....its a perfectly natural food straight from the fields...”

It’s the modifications since made, due to hybridization. There are books on it - it’s bad. For example, wheat used to grow to 6 feet throughout history - until about, now it grows to 18”, and that’s just the part of the physical changes. The chemical changes are horrendous. Look it up.

So buy wheat or flour from a good source and make your own bread or other wheat products
The people with gluten problems should try this. Bread has been the staff of life for a few thousand years with plenty of Biblical mentions

Not sure about wheat, except processed.....processed anything isn’t good........

Oh wow! 5 years. Congrats on that...but sorry to hear about the arthritis. That is very hard.

You seem quite informed on healthful information, so I imagine you already use natural supplements to support your body with the challenges you have. I’m thinking in particular that everyone, especially heart and arthritis patients, should be sure to have adequate omega 3S. I have also heard that apple pectin is somehow very helpful for arthritis.

Wheat is a poser. I know that probably I should do away with it altogether, but so far I have found that in miniscule amounts, my body can tolerate the occasional indiscretion. Generally for my morning cereal, I use rolled barley, quinoa, bran, flax, and chia seeds. Sometimes I’ll throw in a tablespoon of rolled spelt or oats. Pour hot water, flavor with a 1/4 banana, stevia, and cinnamon, and let it steep for about 15 minutes. Yum.

I agree that processed anything should be used with caution. I guess the ancients had it right: moderation in all things.

We’ve been big into healthy eating, natural supplements for decades. Can’t imagine where we’d be without them. Yes, Omega 3S, glucosamine/chondroitin (saved me 10 years ago when I started to lose mobility to do anything- now virtually painfree.....except for arthritis under kneecaps....actually knees are fine at 69!)

Wife is constantly doing research, adding new discoveries, eliminating ones with problems like fish oil....
