Malaysias former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad has questioned whether flight MH370 crashed into the southern Indian Ocean and has blamed Boeing, the planes maker, for its disappearance.
Dr Mahathir, who maintains a powerful influence in his countrys ruling party, also suggested the reason why the passengers and crew never acted to stop whatever was happening on board was because they were somehow incapacitated".
Even if the pilot wants to commit suicide, the co-pilot and the cabin crew would not allow him to do so without trying something, he said.
But no one, not even the passengers, did anything.
Writing in an opinion piece, Dr Mahathir questioned why no debris or oil slick from the plane has been found.
Can it be that the plane remained intact on crashing and sank with no trace and no one launching the lifeboat doors, as we are told all these aircraft are equipped with? he asked.
Can one believe this plane quietly floated down into the raging sea and sank conveniently in the deepest part (seven miles deep) of the Indian Ocean?
Dr Mahathir said it must have taken some effort if the pilot, Zaharie Ahmad Shah, disabled the planes communication system.
The co-pilot would notice and for his own life he would have tried to do something was he disabled? Were all the crew members and the passengers disabled?...
The loss of the plane is due to the makers, Boeing. How can Boeing produce a plane that is so easily disabled? ....
Boeing must accept responsibility for building an aircraft that can disappear in mid-air so completely, he said.
Boeing has not responded to Dr Mahathir's comments which were first published in his personal blog and then republished in several Malaysian news outlets...

Is it any wonder that the Malaysian investigation is going nowhere.
Is this satire????
That would be something new: a hijack-proof airliner. It could come with built-in air marshals.
Politicians are the same the world over!
This man's mind works like a child's mind.
I can just imagine Boeing people in Chicago, Renton, Seattle, and Everett doing a combined “WTF???” this morning.
The Malaysian PM has most certainly got some serious cranio-rectal insertion going on.
This lends credence to the suspicions of the Chinese families that they aren’t being told the whole truth and that the Malaysian authorities are only going to find what isn’t embarrassing to them and Malaysia.
Did you catch that he was a “Dr.”
I looked it up - medical doctor?!?
Typical Mahathir hate speech. He’s a Malasian version of Farrakhan.
Ah, this criticism coming from a joke of a man who couldn’t qualify to sweep floors at Boeing.
Oh, forgot, we’ve got a president who also fits that description.
Same religion, too.
# 9048 !!!!!!!
Paging Mary Schiavo.
last I heard, Boeing said the plane was on the ground in Pakistan, so Why are they complaining??
Boeing is, I’m assuming, a white owned company with a CEO who is white. All this ex PM is doing is taking a page out of the Democratic Party playbook and playing the race card. The white owned company built a substandard plane for a non-white country. Deflect blame from where it truly belongs, with the Malaysian pilots, and accuse a large corporation of neglect. Sprinkle in a few references to race and you create victim status for the Malaysian people. Laugh if you want but we all know where this is all going.
Is that anything like the inflatable pilots?
Good ol’ Muslim taqqiya gibberish.
The PM’s words:
“How can Boeing produce a plane that is so easily disabled?’
He said it must have taken some effort if the pilot, Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, had disabled the plane’s communication system.”
So — was it easily disabled??? or did it take some effort from your captain??? or was your captain just incompetent at disabling the communication system???
Kind of like blaming firearm manufacturers for shootings.
Bet he knows something and wants to divert attention.
