Skip to comments.Glenn Beck in preacher mode..... I turned the radio off on the radio messiah

My beef is common enough. Overall I like what Glenn Beck has to say. But when we starts preaching and a straining emphatic preaching type voice. He does this with a number of topics so this is when I go -click-- I am out. At times he gets weepy as if he thinks he is a messiah of some kind
I did not like what he said about Bundy either
I very much liked his book. I tried to listen to him on the radio afterward but he and his sidekick were just horribly annoying.
He needs to be talking about Jonathan Mayhew.
Breitbart called him a false prophet.
GB admitted that he F-ed-up while at Fox..but I think he let his real nature through. Yes he’s annoying..but I like his passion, like Hannity..but if only it could be channeled to calmly.
I noticed his preaching voice a long time ago. Found it annoying.
Beck is about Beck Inc. Nothing more.
Yes, when he said what he said about Bundy, I concluded that he had no stomach for a fight that may come and was therefore unworthy of my attention. I tuned him out forever.
I used to watch his teevee show years ago. Not because I liked it, just figured since he was trying to be Howard Beale, maybe beck’s producers would deal with him same way Beale’s did once his ratings started dropping.
I gave up on Beck when he started the practice of hyping some super sensational story all week and promising the details next Monday and then when Monday rolled around the “story” turned out to be an absolute nothing burger. I couldn’t trust him anymore after he started playing that game.
these days theres only a few good radio commentators left
I used to listen to
+ many others
Now only Levin, sometimes Rush and Peter Schiff (new)
I cancelled my Blaze subscription the other day because of what he did to Bundy. Beck can go to h3ll.
Agreed. My wife can't stand Mark Levin's voice. But I listen to both. I tune out Beck when he is on a silly tangent.
Was that before or after the “buy gold” commercials?
I now listen to Rush, Levin, and Chis Plante.
I like Beck well enough. When he gets preachy and tearful, I switch over to Laura Ingram or I switch over to NPR to let Diane Rehm piss me off for a while. Frankly, I really just miss Boortz.
I call him chemically imbalanced. The right doctor could really help him.
I now believe Breitbart was correct.
There really is only Levin.
very sadly Rush doesn’t seem to say anything of interest or importance these days.
It’s just usually Apple, or his books, or what ever other blah, blah, blah.
But anything about our communist tyrant government? Nope.
“My wife can’t stand Mark Levin’s voice.”
I’ve had friends say the same thing, and I can see where they’re coming from, but there’s noone on radio or in print who i agree with more. I guess I’ve gotten used to it. He’s the worst natural radio guy of any of the big names(worst voice, least charm), but he’s the smartest and the most on point.
I stopped listening years ago when he continues to do this type of crap....”breaking big news is coming when I drop the details on this there will be major changes for our nation. It will hit to the core of corrupt politicians”
Next day same message but a little more oh my this is big... Too big to announce without getting everything right. We can’t let our detractors pick up on any mistakes on what we are releasing.”
Rinse repeat. Them either nothing gets announced our something stupid comes out like a taking America back campaign... Tell your neighbors.
He’s a modern day PT Barnum.
Yep see my comment.
Hannity is a good person and try to do the right thing but he’s boring and repetitive
When he's right, he's very, very right. But it's not all that often.
And I stopped listening because I couldn't take the hyperbole. "This is the MOST awesome, news-breaking, announcement that will change your life FOREVER...coming up at the top of the hour! Don't miss it!!" ... and it would turn out to be a new station carrying his show in Elbow, North Dakota, or something.
He's little more than a circus huckster. A conservative one ... but a huckster none the less.
HA! See my post 29. GMTA, and all that.
that was 20 minutes of horrific radio ...he has a screw or two loose about that MLK Ghandi stuff
Unsubscribed to all of the Beck emails this week. Done with him.
For me it’s him and Alex Jones. Levin can be a bit too short on some callers, and Jones sometimes goes too fast, but I get a better product from them than the rest.
Yep. Right there with you.
I am perfectly capable of reading the Bible myself and doing my own historical research.
I do not need Glenn to preach to me.
Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, etc, are all designed to keep us marching like good little slaves in the right/left republican/democrat paradigm. As long as we stay in that political box they have achieved the purposes of the power structure in this country.
True, dat! I like Rush's wit and humor, can't stand Hannity, But Levin is brilliant. If I can't listen live I always catch his podcast.
After both threw Mr Bundy under the bus I'm done with both phonies.
I miss Quinn and Rose.
That is exactly my reaction. He has no stomach for the fight. He’d said before that when the time came he hoped he’d have the courage not to run and hide, but I know his true colors. He’s a moral coward. I’ll never listen to him again.
Turned Beck off because of comments he made about Bundy. I have no intentions of turning him on again.
“Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, etc, are all designed to keep us marching like good little slaves in the right/left republican/democrat paradigm.”
They all stink. The real shows (Jerry Hughes, Stan Major, Chuck Harder) were defanged by Clinton in the mid nineties.
I tuned him out when he started doing that on Fox. Very insulting.
Beck = Sell Out
I do the same. For a while there he was even doing a self-help guru schtick and it was boring as hell.
Same here. I am not going to be preached to how we have to emulate MLK Ghandi Beck is really nutty sometimes
“Breitbart called him a false prophet.”
Breitbart was right. Beck is dangerous. I don’t know if he’s just a loon with a messianic complex or a stalking horse for the Progressive police state. Either way he’s bad news.
The MLK/Gandhi stuff is very deliberate, and repeated for a reason. They’re always put in the same class as Jesus of Nazareth. The intent is to minimize Christ, to reduce him to a mere “great” figure.
I listen to Beck, but I never forget that I’m listening to a very powerful mormon. I take the useful information that The Blaze provides and discard everything else.
He's got himself set up nicely for the collapse. (or so he thinks) He doesn't need us anymore.
