Chick-fil-A is the best fast food chain in America. The chicken joint won the "best overall" category in Business Insider's Fast Food Reader's Choice awards.
Chick-fil-A, which is planning a massive national expansion, beat out competitors like Chipotle and McDonald's.
The chicken chain, which now outsells KFC despite having a fraction of the locations, is popular for many reasons.
1. Chicken sandwich
This chicken sandwich is amazing. According to Chick-fil-A, it's "a boneless breast of chicken seasoned to perfection, hand-breaded, pressure cooked in 100% refined peanut oil and served on a toasted, buttered bun with dill pickle chips." While no one knows the secret sauce, copycat recipes call for the chicken breast to be brined in pickle juice.
2. Waffle Fries
The waffle fries are perfectly crispy and delicious every time. They're also a nice alternative to the classic fries available at most other fast food chains.
3. Milkshakes
In addition to the classic flavors, Chick-fil-A has peach and cookies and cream versions. The hand-spun milkshakes are made with Chik-fil-A's own "IceDream" softserve and they are topped with whipped cream and a cherry. The company also offers seasonal flavors.
4. Awesome breakfast.
Chick-fil-A's chicken biscuit has an avid following. The buttery, warm bread crumbles in your mouth and it's a perfect complement to the juicy, uniquely seasoned fried chicken patty. Other breakfast options include breakfast burritos, parfaits, and oatmeal.

I drive 50 miles out of my way to patronize CFA, with a KFC walking distance from my house.
Not a fan either. We have a chain here that’s much better. El Pollo Loco.

The chicken mini’s are the only fast food I’ve ever tried that I wouldn’t rather feed the dogs. I just don’t like fast food or the experience. I like real food on a plate.
Chick Fil A is special occasion, destination dining for us b/c the nearest one is about 20 miles away.

False - they ALWAYS welcomed everyone. ANYONE was welcome to come in, buy some food, eat, get a fresh lemonade, and leave.
I just wish Dan Cathy had more of a backbone and hadn’t decided to wimp out.

They finally got one up in the little mountain town where I had my vaction cabin. One day I pulled in with my Beagle Buddy sitting in the back seat in his Alpine ski sweater. The girl at the window gave him his very own little chicken nugget in a little tiny box. Buddy was one happy hound that day. :-)

I ate there for a while during the “controversy”. Didn’t like the food much, but loved sending the message.
But now that the owner has caved to them, they won’t see me again.
Raising Cane’s is the best fried chicken. They do “fingers” only.
I prefer Los Pollos Hermanos. They just put a little something extra on their chicken.
Actually that is not true. Los Pollos Hermanos was a legitimate business run as a front for the Gustavo Fring crime activities. This is where the meth money was laundered however the chicken itself was unadulterated and from all accounts, very tasty indeed.

If all he said was he accepts every person for who they are as a valued customer, he isn’t doing anything he hasn’t already done in the past...
The “something extra” I was referring to was Love. What were you thinking about?
The Chik-Fil-A in my town is always busy - from open to close. Drive-thru line is always at least 10 cars long, there’s always a crowd at the counter. The other fast food joints around it - not so much.
