Today's feature is the 2nd of the Hope/Crosby/Lamour "Road" comedy series. One of their best.

It’s a good one.

Reminds me of something, though. Dorothy Lamour’s sarong pictures were always extremely popular back in the day, as well as on tv, back in the (pre-TCM) day, when local stations used to run afternoon movies and late-shows.

Yet, they’ve never really been released on VHS or DVD. Nor are they ever even leased to be shown on TCM like a few other Paramount/MCA properties have been. Films like “Beyond the Blue Horizon,” “The Jungle Princess,” “Typhoon,” “Aloma of the South Seas,” “Her Jungle Love,” etc. These films have really fallen by the wayside in recent decades. Just seems strange.
