We had some sad news this weekend; our Assistant Pastor (from Colombia, SA and a 2 year old priest) has been transferred to Burlington, WI. We all love Fr. Yamid Blanco. He gave the most tender ‘goodbye’, thanking us all for helping him to grow on his path from ‘baby’ priest to where he is today. He received the longest standing O I’ve ever heard in our church.
The Archbishop is sending him to Burlington where he will rotate among 3 churches, saying Spanish Masses and catering to Spanish speaking parishioners.
This is a man who came here from Colombia to enter the Seminary and spoke not a word of English at the time. He’s doing so well with his language that the congregation now laughs on cue when he tells jokes. We couldn’t understand him at all when he joined us 2 years ago. Now, everybody understands him.
But, there was a big laugh when he bid us ‘goodbye’ with his usual “Ciao, ciao!” and the organizt answered, “Auf Wiederzwein!” representing our largely German population.
For leadership on the Left, the criterion is to be from a coterie of ‘Rats from the same hole…

just teasing about the ball and chain, one of xshub’s friends always brings his wife along to the fairly regular conferences they attend, now that their kids are all grown and out of the house and xshub will always relate to me that X brought the old ball and chain again. She is the only woman he’s ever referred to that way, and it is actually pretty understandable, knowing her. She’s a contrarian, very negative and just obstreperous. I don’t like talking to her either.
and there’s that BONUS of the honeymoon too! what’s not to like about a big party followed by a vaca!

This morning at 6, I found another token on the steps of the deck-a 1 1/2 inch long glass fish-it is colored like an angelfish, has fins-it is very detailed-obviously was part of a decoration of some sort-probably came from the same place as the 3 blue glass pebbles.
I think I know who has been leaving these tokens/toys-it has to be a raccoon-one that is coming up from the river with the deer to eat the food I put out for them. The raccoon probably is attracted to the yard and deck by the lights, and in carrying off some food, has to set down whatever interesting thing it picked up at another house...
well he sure brings interesting little tidbits!
The twins were the first girl and the fourth girl. They are fraternal twins. At the end of the video you can see them as the second and fourh to the last...they both turn toward their mom ahead of us, then keep going. The fourth boy, second one in a suit, he is Korean, is the grandson of my favorite Dem driver. And of course, that was Fr. Brian of the CNN video. They were cute....Fr said this is your FIRST Communion, and there should be a second, third, fourth and so on... LOL He made us sing some songs over, as the fathers of the First Communion kiddies were not singing. RME
