Late last week, House Speaker John Boehner announced he will be putting together a select committee to investigate the 9/11 attack in Benghazi after bombshell emails obtained by Judicial Watch showed the White House was directly involved in altering talking points. Further, Secretary of State John Kerry was issued a subpoena demanding more documentation and asked to give testimony on May 21 in front of the House Oversight Committee about the attack. We're still waiting on details about the select committee, but early indicators show Boehner will appoint former prosecutor and South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy to lead the investigation. Specifics about the extent and cost of the new select committee are expected to be released early this week. A vote on the select committee could come as early as today.
Trey Gowdy. Bulldog!
Hope he's ready for the kind of media and White House vetting only reserved for democrat presidential contenders . . . wait, what ? Oh . . . .
Gowdy would be a great VP pick.
