He's been shot by religious extremists and hunted down for the unspeakable crime of writing a blog, and he's alive today only because he fled the hell out of Bangladesh on a student visa. Cracked sat down with Jo to hear about life in the shadow of religious extremism and to find out what it's like to have a dude straight up shoot you in the street. Here's what we learned:

Cracked is a satire/ comedy site isn’t it?
It’s not “fundamentalism” that he is writing about, it’s mainstream Islam that is practiced all over the world.
They aim for the humorous side of reality, or at least presentation. But it’s fact based not satire.
The term “fundamentalist” is used here to connect American conservative Christians to what this guy went thru. The goal is to portray this as what American conservatives would do if they get enough control.
You do remember all those murders of atheists in the streets in 1950s (or even 1850s) America, don’t you?
