With the Cliven Bundy story still fresh on the minds of many Americans, it’s a shock to see a state government turn the tides on the federal government by passing legislation that demands it hand over control of 30 million acres of land.
It’s become commonplace to see news stories of the opposite phenomenon, as the federal government, working through the Bureau of Land Management, has time and again trampled on the private property rights of its citizens and claimed lands for itself. This is not the case in Utah.
Utah Governor Gary Herbert signed a bill earlier this year that strips massive acreage of land from the overreaching hands of the federal government to help build the state’s economy and resources. Of course, not everyone seems to be happy about the land going back into the hands of its rightful owners.

If you look at TFR (total fertility rate) by state, Utah is in the lead by 2.4 kids per woman. In the Northeast, it is around 1.5 kids per woman. Utah has a growing population and about two thirds of the state in federal lockdown. They literally need the room for their growing population.
There are those who’ve been saying for decades that the next civil war will be about water rights. It will be about water and land rights, for starters.
Wait till you see what Maine does on June13, 2018, the day after the secession vote. And we will keep pushing.
Here’s what I’m talking about. That land (and buildings and other assets) the feds are sitting on is worth trillions. That’s trillions with a T. Auction it or sell it and we’re debt free. It’s a no-brainer.
How about trading the US debt with Yellowstone Park? It’s going to blow up eventually. ;)

If they sold it off, thousands of bureaucrats would lose dominion over property they don’t own themselves. What’s the use of being an administrator if you don’t have anything to administrate?
