rightly, some pepper plants now have open flowers. I lost some pepper plants that last cold day.
I didn't know how many tomato plants, pepper plants, and cucumbers I had and what types, so I made a list and I'll keep the list. They are (remember all are in containers):
Peppers:
5 Hot Pepper Mixture
3 Pepperoncini Hot Pepper
3 Sweet Banana Pepper
2 Fooled You Jalapeno Pepper
1 Sweet Baby Bell
2 baby new ones are Sweet Pickle Peppers
The four tomato plants I raised from seed and planted first have blooms and three have very small tomatoes. Those four are:
Tomatoes in very large two tomato containers:
1 Sweet Million
1 Fourth of July
1 Cosmonaut Volkoy
1 Better Boy
Other tomato plants that are smaller and some of these need to be replanted in larger containers but some are already in large ones:
3 Cosmonaut Volkoy
3 Mortgage Lifter
4 Tycoon
1 Sweet Million
2 4th of July
2 Cherry Punch
Cucumbers grown from seed are all blooming and they are:
7 Homemade Pickles
6 National Pickling
2 Supreme Hybrid - I raised these from seed and only 2 survived transplanting and they are not hardy so won't grow them again.
sockmonkey, the over 4 ft. tall Tromboncino Squash has two blooms as of this morning and plenty of them waiting to open. The smaller T squash planted later, number 4.
There are numerous other plants out there but they are not as numerous as the above. However, there are about 38-40 strawberry plants. The Egyptian Onions look like something from outer space as they go through their walking cycle.

Your farm is starting to produce well. You will like the sweet millions. Our neighbors have sweet millions that are doing good, too.
I agree with you, home grown is best...they have real deep flavor, especially when they are warm from picking off the vine.
My cucumbers are blooming. So are my green beans. I’ve got 11 tomato plants that are 3 to 4 feet high and all have fruit on them. Some are 3 inches in diameter. They’re big enough for fried green tomatoes but I’m going to wait for my first tomato sandwich.
Been eating radishes for two weeks.
Many people can't believe that cranes bring in fertilized fish eggs into stock tanks. They walk in the shallow waters of another pond, tank or a lake where the fish build their nests and the eggs stick to their legs. They go to a new or cleaned out tank, and plant them there.

You will always get what you need, one way or another. You are the master of that ability.

I cannot wait until you tell us about the flavors of your tomato varieties! (Also anxious to hear what you think of the tromboncino squash and how you prepare it.) Gonna make salsa and guacamole (salsa from tomatoes canned in July of 2012—hasn’t killed me yet :) ) with cilantro from pot on deck. Life is good!
Not with only three of them lol! The interesting part is that the first strawberries that became large and ripened quickly were the ones growing from a runner that came up over the edge of the barrel and planted itself in this tough TN clay. Maybe it was the Miracle Gro granules....
That reminds me, I read an article about making growbags out of old bluejeans. The bookmark feature on Opera works differently than on Firefox so I lost track of it, but will post it here if I find it again.

My Yorkie, Prissy, weighs 4.3 pounds as weighed by vet a few days ago - that’s about the weight of one of those feet on the dog you have. :o) Not really, but it makes a funny comment on the difference in size of the two dogs. :o)
I have my Sun Gold cherries flowering already and I just got some Stupice starters, a medium-sized tomato, I’m told, which I need to get planted in their containers. And my corn, Mirani White from Park Seed, haven’t spouted yet but it’s only been a few days.
I’d like to do garlic. Do I plant the individual segments of the bulb or the whole bulb?
