Conservatives need to wake up and start thinking past the rapidly passing age of Obama. Increasingly likely every day is that voters this November will remove Harry Reid as Senate Majority Leader. By electing a new Republican Senate majority, the voters will also render Barack Obama a lame duck, one of the lamest in history, as he will have no prayer of getting any of his legislative proposals increasingly recognized as hard left through Congress. (Despite his early national rhetoric, Obama doesnt do bipartisanship.)

Oh I am awake. And all I see at the end of that tunnel is the terrifying specter of Hildabeast and 60 Dem seats in the Senate.
All I see are RINOs setting the agenda and carrying on with Democrat Lite policies.
That light is most likely a train!
My bet is that they shove amnesty down our throats the day after the midterm elections.
If Republicans take over they will do everything within their power to help rehabilitate Obama and make him successful. Then they will go back to their offices and pat themselves on the back for their “bipartisanship”.
I hate to be so negative, but the last time we had a “Republican” Congress and a Republican president, we got George Bush’s compassionate conservatism and large increases in social spending. Even under Reagan, government wasn’t actually cut. The Welfare State is out of control and the American people aren’t willing to face it yet.
Don't worry O'Bastard won't have to. The GOP will be "reaching across the isle" more often than a shoplifter in an unattended candy store.
Pass a Senate budget. Pass a House budget. Go to conference committees. Send the budget to Obama.
Make a lame Obama have to sign a real budget from now on. No more continuing resolutions.
so the likely scenario is that our idiot idiot voters will split the votes in close elections and once again hand the rat the victory....
and we just couldn't vote for Romney for one reason or another and so we decided we'd just have another 4 yrs with the arrogant narcissitic muzzie pussified Soros bought and paid for bambi....
The likely scenario is that our idiot GOPe will prop up a soft-communist ‘R’ candidate, once again leaving conservatives with nothing to vote for, handing the communists another victory.
There fixed that for you.
Wake up and smell the coffee. Repubs and Dems are on the same team. Destroy the country. Romney, while not virulently anti-American, is ideologically, THE SAME ANIMAL.
I guess more socialism is good, if it comes from ‘our guys’.
In at least a couple of respects, this column acknowledges that our very freedom depends on who is elected president. It isn’t to be that way in a supposed constitutional republic.
AMEN! Please feel free to post as much there, I have!
You are an optimist.
I think they’ll do it right after the Primaries.
You are correct. I have been saying they same thing. But there are degree, actually MAGNITUDES of difference. The increases during the entire Bush II reign were about the same the as the increases during the first year of Obama...
There’s always that.
We really need to discourage a huge field that will split the vote. I’m actually a little hopeful, as there are some good governors who look like they may make a run, Pence of Indiana being one of them. If we can get behind a reasonable conservative governor for the top of the ticket, with maybe a firebrand VP (Paul or Cruz to keep them in line) I could happily face 2016.
Actually, I want Ted Cruz named to the Supreme Court. That would be the best place for his talents, especially as he’s pretty young & could wield influence for many years.
GOPe will nominate Jeb, Romney, perhaps even Christie.
No choice there at all.
