At first blush, one might think most of these battles are only being waged in the private sphere, but dont be naïve. As we have seen with the IRS scandal, the government is clearly targeting individuals for their views or conscience -- auditing them simply because of the political groups they have supported or denying conservative organizations a certain tax status simply because they are conservative. Its the other side of the same coin.

As has been noted—Liberals accuse conservatives of doing the very things of which they themselves are guilty.
It was old Hollywood Communist John Howard Lawson who insisted (in secret) that freedom of speech should apply only to Communists.
The old Soviet Union was comprised of people who thought the same things as today's liberals and leftists. The first chance they got, the Bolsheviks either imprisoned dissidents or had them executed. Contrast that with the previous Czarist regimes who exiled dissidents but rarely executed them. When you're looking at a leftist, you're looking at a future fascist.
This is an important article. The author is correct in her analysis.
Thanks, I am glad i posted it. How the leftists can go around calling themselves tolerant is amazing to me. They are intolerant and full of rage. They just project their characteristics onto others.
The old saying,”First they came for the.......” still applies in this dictatorship.
The left is built upon a foundation of lies. It is viscerally repulsed by any truth. Instead of embracing reality - the mere existence of which witnesses against the debased world of falsehood, corruption, and depravity - it seeks to drive it underground and destroy it.
The trouble for left is that truth is and will always be the only foundation which allows for "sustainability." Lies require a complicated and dedicated 24/7 support system of propaganda to make them appear upright and functional, but of course even casual observation is enough to see through the illusions. Explains why totalitarianism leads to mass killing. "Believe the lies or die" pretty much sums up the attitude toward "non-believers". No different than the "convert or die" methods of islam or any other iron-fisted despotic regime or ideology.
I hate to be so grim, but like Daniel, cannot ignore the writing on the wall.
Note that the [literal] writing on the wall was more of a courtesy than anything else. As Daniel explained, the king had long been ignoring the reality and lessons of history, purposefully ignoring the TRUTH. By the time the hand was leaving that blatant message of woe, there was no going back. The king, his administration, and the other fellow travelers in the palace entertainment biz were probably livid that the warning came "too late" to escape.
I discovered years ago that their definition of tolerance (like a lot of other things) is waaay different than that of thoughtful, considerate, decent, normal people. It's a completely twisted meaning that is so depraved that they really can sleep at night and feel good about themselves.
Their perverted tolerance is a temporary condition that can be described as a sort of grace period (how nice of them to be gracious). That is, they graciously give the "non-believer" a certain time period to get on board with their ideology, to accept the propaganda as truth, to embrace the lies. Note that "live and let live" is never a consideration.
First they'll gently teach the lost souls. Then if that doesn't work they'll attempt psychological methods of persuation by playing the victim card - becoming offended, hurt, or discouraged when their targets won't coorporate.
Then on to passive-aggressive gotcha games and a marked increased in their agitation and frustration levels. After all, the target surely should have come around by now!
Then on to overt aggression to push the agenda (the agenda is their truth). Still not effective? Well then that's when the "grace period" ends and the mass slaughter begins. They tolerated the unbelievers and gave them many chances to believe, after all. They don't see the blood on their hands because they are blinded by their own halos of tolerance, patience, and compassion.
And another bump for a REALLY good article. I don’t want to lose this one, and I hope more people will see it.
Thanks for the ping!
