- One of the most iconic voices of radio and television is missing.
A judge has now ordered state officials to look for radio legend Casey Kasem.
The order came after a lawyer for Kasem's wife, Jean, told the judge he didn't know where Kasem was.

Kasem voiced a few cartoon characters... most notably for me, (as it was my favorite cartoon when I was in 1st grade), he voiced Mark, the Leader of G-Force in Battle of The Planets.

Probably not safe for work.
The half-hour children's show, produced in 1968, portrays Arabs; as money-grubbing, fat, ugly, hook-nosed kidnapers, the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee said.
I probably heard about it at the time, but my brain has trouble sometimes finding the memories.
Are you sure he’s a Muslim?
He’s from the Detroit area, and the overwhelming majority of Arabs living there are Christians.
Or at least they were when he was born 82 years ago.
I think Don Messick was Scooby Doo.
He was on the radio just last Saturday night, although the broadcast WAS from the 1970s.
They're on the case!
Debbie Schussel is usually accurate. Hard to believe but Casey was born of Druze Muslim parents. Your logic is correct that just about all Arab immigrants back then were Christian. I am thinking Caesey’s parents were not very religious but the key to Druze version of Islam is that it has many Christian elements anyways

I loved that show.
I remember that!
I got it....Casey is wearing the Shaggy mask.
Then they’ll remove the mask revealing that it’s Casey, then he goes, “I would have gotten away with it if it weren’t for those meddling kids.”
"The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision
of what is before them, glory and danger alike,
and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it."~Thucydides

Kasem was born Kemal Amin Kasem[5] in Detroit, Michigan,[5] on April 27, 1932 to Lebanese Druze parents who emigrated from the British Mandate of Palestine to Lebanon. After arriving in the United States, they settled in Michigan, where they worked as grocers.[6] Kasem is a graduate of Northwestern High School in Detroit and Wayne State University.[5]
What’s interesting about the Druze is that the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) employs them as trackers to hunt down Muzzie terrorists.
Whether tracking terrorists or music hits the Druze are getting it done!
