Alec Baldwin has been arrested.
The volatile actor was handcuffed by police officers in New York on Tuesday and taken away in a cop car, according to In Touch with one witness telling the publication Baldwin 'went ballistic on the cops, screaming at them' during the incident which led to his arrest.
TMZ reports he was stopped by police for cycling his bike the wrong way down Fifth Avenue and one of the reasons he was arrested was because he did not have any identification on him.
By the time he was cuffed he was 'calm and quiet', another onlooker told In Touch.
A source with the New York Police Department told the publication: 'The incident just happened, we are waiting for details at this time.'
He was alone at the time of the incident and is reported to have been cycling for exercise.
In the pictures, obtained by In Touch, he can be seen wearing shorts, a jacket and a visor as he is led into the car by a female police officer.
Another officer stands nearby.
He appears calm and collected in the pictures as he is being led away while his bike can be seen propped up against the car.
Alec has faced controversy in the past few years for repeatedly being accused of using homophobic slurs.

Not a warrant, but writing a ticket for breaking a law. It is a summons to appear in court at a later date, if you don’t want to pay the fine.

If he can’t slime,insult and degrade his own daughter why should we be surprised when he does the same with the NYPD?
Judging by my own experience(s) with the NYPD and from reports recounted to me by others the only way an incident like this would get one arrested is if you decided to be an @$$h0le with them. If one is polite when questioned by NYPD and co-operates with them you will not have “problems”.
Unfortunately Arec Barwin just doesn’t seem to have that ability too be respectful, polite and co-operative. Plain speaking .... HE’s an IDIOT!

Maybe he thought he was in Paris. We were really surprised how many bikers rode their bikes on the wrong side there. We also saw a couple of accidents from wrong side bikers. Maybe Eric Baldwin should go there.

My gut tells me you are correct. I’d wager that Baldwin when into full jerk mode in a second or two. Once that happened, the NYPD responded.
To paraphrase Ron White, Baldwin had the right to remain silent, but not the ability.
