Alex Dreier is out today. He is replaced as newscaster by someone named Louis Rowan. I couldn’t find a photo of him.

In Italy, French progress at Cassino.
Tito’s forces losing ground in Yugoslavia.
The Japanese are trying to evacuate New Guinea and other reports from the southwest Pacific theater.
Unions and many in Congress oppose a controversial compulsory labor bill.
Japan and the U.S. are negotiating on the exchange of internees.
