Origin: From Greek hyper- (over) + gelastes (laughter), from gelan (to laugh).

Good morning - although not newsworthy, I used to have stepsisters who were hypergelasts. They were dumb as posts to begin with but would laugh at anything - in the middle of a sentence - at inappropriate things. We were always stunned at the giggling fools.
