NEW YORK (Reuters) - President Barack Obama has a modest, tongue-in-cheek suggestion for people in New York City who support his agenda: move to North Dakota.
"I said, 'Move to North Dakota!"
"If I could just get about a million surplus votes in Brooklyn out to Nebraska, Wyoming," he said, drawing laughs from the crowd of about 50 people.

That’s exactly what they’ll try next if they cannot get this National Popular Vote initiative implemented.
I wish I had enough money to fly HALF of his NYC supporters to Europe. Then I would fly ALL of them HALF way!
Yep, democrats suck and they know how to do it.
Sounds like an argument for internal border control.
The 35.4% of US residents ALREADY receiving one or more means test Federal benefits could do this with no penalty.
You can still be non-productive and draw Federal welfare in North Dakota.
Interesting that he picked the most economically vibrant state to pick on. They are drilling and mining and fracking despite Obama’s best efforts.
Stinking no good MF’er
Makes total sense to him because all he cares about is getting Democrats elected. Instead of spreading wealth he wants to spread the “looters”.
Wow he spoke to 50 people either the homeless or the clueless.
New York street smart does not translate to country survival. The average New York Libtard wants every thing done for them. Trash collected, water at the turn of a knob, cell phone service, television. We that live out here choose simpler, not more. So, it is inconvenient, so they will come to demonstrate, but will run home to the great cesspools of the large cities.
And only 50 showed up to hear him speak? Awwwwww!
For a second there I thought it was a backhanded way of telling them to get a job.
Then I realized who was speaking.
It’sd happening. The small rural town I live in has been solid Republican for generations. Then a few motivated lefties move in, get on the planning board and it’s demands for “affordable housing”, which just moves the welfare crowd from the cities to the sticks.
Then there is the poop, deer, turkey, bunny, mountain lion, pronghorns, coyotes, not to mention that they eat all your flowers and trees.
Rattle Snakes! Stay Away!
You will never have a good hair day again. It's always windy.
(I really love wliving out west, but we don't want those Nyer's here. You should see what the Californians are doing to Colorado)
Wow is right. He sure is drawing big crowds these days. The only reason they would mover there is for JOBS. Of course, they are probably on the federal tit.
I’ve lived 2/3 of my life either living in and stationed in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska.
I can say for many I know: Keep your fascist democrat asses out! Stay in the crapholes you’ve created.
As they say up north, 40 below keeps the bums away.
“You should see what the Californians are doing to Colorado”
I’m seeing it first hand. A constant parade of Volvos and Subarus with Cali plates with drivers looking like Hot Chocolate Boy.
Mega-dittos from here in Wyoming
My husband would have liked to go back to Colorado. He lived there over 30 years. He had to go home to Minnesota to tend to aging parents. Colorado has changed so much. We like The Black Hills and he can still go over to Boulder to see his friends when he wants.
Yep! It’s terrible out here. They won’t like it. ;)
LOL, I know. The wind out here is crazy. We went hunting a few years back, around Lake Hattie and I swear the weather changed 6 times in one afternoon. Had a blast however.
Having lived in northern MN, we are definitely used to cold and snow, but when a trace of snow and 50+mph winds can whip up a total white-out within seconds (and shortly after all is calm), it is something to behold.
We have enjoyed the winter out here, even though the locals say it's been the worst winter in 30 years. I'll take it! We lived in Southern Minnesota, goodness! That was bad enough.
Much drier here -- just as SD is. Hubby has bad knees that just killed him back in MN --- here is it like "what bad knees".
Even if MN wasn't such a cesspool of liberal crap, I think we may have still made the move anyway for the kinder & gentler winters. People out here think we are crazy when we say "this isn't bad at all"
Now that you mention it. I have not heard my husband complain about his hands and shoulder hurting so much. He suffered in Minnesota.
When we would go back to visit/maintain it, I noticed the difference right away, it was so damp and much colder even if the temps were the same.
Out here, yeah we may get to 100 degrees, but really doesn't feel more than 80 or so as the humidity is so low. Sure do not miss the humid summers of MN. But yeah, I do miss the lakes, I'll admit that.
Happy to hear your hubby is doing better --- the joint pain with the damp weather can be so terrible.
Nah, don't miss them or the ticks !!
and few of the blood sucking ticks (the governor & legislature).
The governor, he’s more then a few bricks short of a load.
I call him governor chicken-sh** --- for his running away from Washington scared after 911.
Course the town looks like it been hit by an air raid, but that's there problem. I no longer care.
I’d love to live in North Dakota. But I can’t, because I have a job here and obligations here.
Welfare Queen Latifa can go at the drop of a hat. A welfare check can be mailed to free housing in ND just easy as it can be mailed to free housing in NY.
But, I will never accept welfare. I will never live in crime infested trashhole ghetto section8 housing. Therefore I must work.
Oh let them come. Only to visit of course.
Let them come, walk on real ground other than concrete, see a few “wild” animals like horses and cows. Maybe even pet one or ride one.
They will drop a few hundred dollars at the local shops and restaurants, then go back to their yuppie concrete jungle and brag about how they roughed it once.
A futile request since in my experience most of the people in New York, or the east coast environs have no idea that there is anything west of the Hudson River.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
” Trash collected, water at the turn of a knob, cell phone service, television.”
I love all of that stuff. There ARE urban conservatives.
That reminds me of a time when I had the cops called on me.
I had met with a guy to sell a few guns. (we were actually trading, my 6 mediocre for his 2 good ones) Guns are not registered in NC. It was a fair and perfectly legal deal with an individual I knew and trusted.
We met in a parking lot and had all the guns sprawled out on the hood of our trucks.
Well several cops pulled up, guns drawn.
I didn’t want to get shot so I complied and hit the ground. When all was said and done, they found more concealed weapons on me and more concealed weapons in our vehicles.
All were legal. One was classIII for which I had my federal tax stamp.
The cops cleared us, told us to have a nice day.
I am guessing some soccer mom drove by and saw the mean looking guns and kneejerked called the cops, too ignernt to realize that everything we were doing was perfectly legal.
We had a young Manhattan transplant in our marketing department in San Francisco. She was not comfortable even in SF. She said that her worst nightmare would be to be tied up and forced to listen to Country & Western music. I doubt that most Liberal New Yorkers would be comfortable in flyover country. Sorry FUBO, no sale!
No doubt! I just believe cities are going to be the first to come under the jack booted heel of DHS. When the services start not working, it will be uncomfortable. Think Trash Collector Strike in NYC, the citizens were not pleased! Katrina was a bit more extreme, but the thin veneer disappeared fairly quickly.
And it will be worth it even more to see those states lose all but one of their electors in the subsequent election because they severely diluted the voting strength of their own voters in choosing their electors (Amendment XIV, Sec 2).
Maybe Obama should force them to move by Executive Order.
But if he does, I hope he moves the entire City of NY so upstate NYers will get a decent governor, as well as other politicians, in the next election(s).
Rob Astorino is a good man, and has a decent chance of winning against Cuomo, IF NYers support him.
Astorino has been called a long shot before when he ran for Westchester County Executive, but yet won by a landslide in a heavily Dem county.
