MERIDEN Although a prosecutor and her public defender asked that Danielle Shea be released on a promise to appear in court, a judge set bail at $10,000 for the woman accused of phoning in bomb threats in an attempt to cancel graduation at Quinnipiac University in Hamden.
Judge Philip A. Scarpellino said he was deeply troubled that Shea, 22, twice phone in bomb threats on Sunday.
"Plus, I'm understanding that the whole year was a lie," Scapellino said after reviewing the Hamden police report that indicates Shea was not a student at Quinnipiac this spring, but accepted money from her mother to pay for tuition. She remained in custody Monday afternoon. The judge also said he was not confident Shea would show up for future court dates.
She is accused of phone bomb threats to Quinnipiac's public safety department to keep to cancel graduation so that her family would not discover she was not graduating.

[The author of this article usually is a better writer....today it sounds as if English is his second language.] Heh.
Cost for the 2014-15 school year:
Tuition & Fees (all students): $40,670
Room & Board (freshmen)*: $14,490
Now, she’ll have time to finish her degree at Penn State—uh, I mean the State Pen.
“Mom I’m not graduating today, because I need you to bail me out of jail.”
This is what we call, “Not Thinking Things Through.”
Danielle Shea = Typical Obama supporter/voter!
i dunno, but i bet she cleans up nicely...but the real question” would laz hit it?
Another rocket scientist. I wonder which political direction she leans toward? As if I have to ask.
Here’s what I did when I got kicked out of band in college for not practicing my trombone enough.
My grandpa (huge band advocate) came to my band concert and I had my brother sit with them in the back row to keep saying “No, you can’t see him? He’s over there behind the guy with red hair”
Then afterwards I put on a tuxedo and went out to greet the audience along with the members of band. The band director was giving me a confused and stunned look, but my grandpa (now rest his soul) was been so proud!
At least you didn’t call in bomb threats! :(
Shea Was Arrested While Wearing a Cap & Gown...
Dang! Her mug shot neglected to show her in her cap and gown.
So what did she do with the tuition money?
Guilty, but by very little.
Dumb. She could have told them “I’ve decided not to march”..... but that would have required some thinking.
Yeah I'm guessing yes.
**So what did she do with the tuition money?**
Dunno yet. Sex, drugs & R&R, come to mind.
