Dramatic photos and video show two police officers from Pennsylvania rescuing a distressed 13-year-old Australian Shepherd from a deep mud pit on May 9.

Willistown Township Police Department had to use wooden boards to get close to Pluto, whose head was barely visible above the thick muck.

Mud can be very dangerous. I saw a special spike shaped hose nozzle on a TV show that dealt with it quite quickly.

Here it is. It has a bunch of holes running down it so it sprays high pressure water in all directions and liquifies the mud so the victim can be pulled out.

"I hope this is noticed by the FR ABUSIVE cop hater gang.

Slight correction to your generalization...I don't "hate" cops per se, I hate cops who ABUSE their authority and hide behind their badges when they've done something egregiously wrong.

Cops should be held just as accountable as any other citizen in similar circumstances, no get out of jail free cards simply because they wear a badge and "were in fear for their life".

I like cops. I really detest bad cops who abuse their authority and continually get away with it.

I’m surprised these cops didn’t just shoot the dog, however, that seems to be their current MO all across the fruited plain.
