ASHLAND, Mass. —A call to police about a possible intruder has a hoppy ending.

Ashland police said in a Twitter post Friday night that they received a report of someone “banging on barrels and walking on the back deck.”

Police posted a mug shot of the suspect, which turned to be a large frog.

“After a short pursuit, one is in custody,” police said in a tweet.

> that;s hilarious, but what is that creature holding the frog?

Something with very poor impulse control.

Kinda ‘gangsta’, which fits the current cop model.

Didn’t being inked up like a gang member used to be a disqualifier for being a cop? I guess that was back in the old days before police departments were allowed screen out applicants who score too high on the IQ test (no, I’m not making that up...police departments do that).

You are too kind. Looks like they are approaching the bottom of the barrel having to hire skinheads.

Maybe was “Circus Police”.

Very good. Thanks, I enjoyed reading the story at that link.

Last month, while we were camping in a state park in Pennsylvania, our nightly campfire time was enhanced by the sounds of barred owls. Every time I am in such a situation, surrounded by total darkness, I can just imagine the terror of our ancestors upon hearing sounds like these in the night.

I’m sure the frog surrendered without a fight.

Any pics of a frog holding a white flag?
