I carry a Beretta Jetfire .25 in a wallet holster. Unlike my .45, it is always there & it has never, ever jammed.

With a round in the tip-up barrel, that’s nine ready to go. Cock & fire.

BTW, is it true that in a pistol made in both .25 ACP & .22lr caliber, that the .25 is more reliable because it is rimless, vs. the .22? Real question.

A paragraph and a half after writing, “Fleming’s handgun knowledge wasn’t great,” the author displays a picture of a Walther PP and captions it, “Walther PPK.”

How would a modern-day Brit know what a handgun looks like, especially some specific model?

Bond needed to stick with Glocks.

The Bond novels were written in the 1950-60s, 20 years before Glock's time.

Accuracy no longer matters in America. Bond ACTUALLY should get a plasma rifle in the 40 watt range, but I'll settle for him having a Glock.

True nuff. In that case, can it at least be the porcelain Glock 7 that doesn't show up on airport X-ray machines and costs more than you make in a month?

IIRC, the fan recommending the change was the aforementioned Geoffrey Boothroyd. His 1970 work “The Handgun”, a comprehensive history of the development of pistols & revolvers, remains a classic.

Yes. That was it.

It is all fiction, but great fiction.

Flemming's Vesper Martini isn't fiction. I have one almost every night. NOMS!
