A MTV survey found something shocking about Millennials: 88% think affirmative action policies are unfair. Translation: 88% of Millennials are racist, or something. Well, at least that’s probably how the folks at MSNBC will take it. […]

The survey found that 88% oppose such programs because they “believe that favoring one race over another is unfair, because of their belief in equality.” …

The Millennials may end up saving this country; not necessarily because they want to, but simply because that will be their only way to survive personally.

The great Thomas Sowell has written about Affirmative Action programs being harmful to the very black people they purportedly were planned to help. Instead of gaining admission to colleges where they would have had a better chance of succeeding and graduating, many black students have won the admissions lottery at more difficult universities, and failed at higher rates, having kept more academically qualified students out of those (previously) better universities.

The quality of education overall has suffered from affirmative action. Ivy League degrees are now a disgustingly expensive bad joke, on their recipients as well as upon the rest of society that continues to expect competence from what have become cesspools of intellectual corruption.

Worst of all, the nation has had to suffer from incompetent blowhards like odinga and the wookie, and other such, who were shuffled through Ivy League colleges in spite of their severe mental retardation.

They need to discover things like religion and morality before they can develop the character to save the USA. Holding notions like “equality” too dearly (as the left arbitrarily defines it) will hold them back.

Golly Gee Whiz,

It's almost like that if we engage people my age instead of belittling them, we could make some headway with young people.

I agree.

We don’t have to agree on everything, just a few basics is good enough.

” I’d be mad as hell if I was one of them.”

I think the real way they’re feeling right now is homicidal, not mad as heck.

When my son graduated high school in 07, he and his friends commented that if they wanted to get into college or get scholarships, they needed to check the box that said they were black.

If the people in this country ever get smart enough to put what they believe in together with whom they vote for.......

Yes; I wager you anything that there’s going to be a lot of payback, it’s just what form it will take that is up for debate. All that is needed is the right trigger.

Young people are a lot more conservative deep down, but it’s just a series of life experiences that brings it to the surface.

“The Millennials may end up saving this country; not necessarily because they want to, but simply because that will be their only way to survive personally. “

Exactly; personal survival instead of collective patriotism.

IF there were better candidates, there would be young people voting for them.

I bet anything that if Paul Ryan had been a candidate, he would have won in a landslide.

Instead, they ran Romney as President instead of vice-President.

” other such, who were shuffled through Ivy League colleges in spite of their severe mental retardation.”

Like celebrities; Claire Danes and intellectual dipweed Natalie Portman and James Franco. These are the types who get automatic acceptance and degrees.

Then the intellectual giant duo the Olson Twins get accepted into University of New York and apparently don’t finish. So yeah, we have a lot of those mentally challenged morons stinking up the classrooms and taking up space that should go to someone who is more serious about their education.

It is happening about ten years later than I expected and hoped, but it is happening.

This gelling among Millennials is a collective of sorts; not in the kum-bay-yah sense; but more in the sense of: "let's follow these three percent who have their heads on straight, or we will all perish."

It is about three percent of each generation that sets the pace, and leads (for better or worse) the rest of the generational trends. In a Crisis Era, the Hero generation will set the direction of the nation for the next 80 to 100 years if they succeed, or possibly take the first steps into a thousand years of darkness, a New Dark Age, if they fail.

You cannot surrender, and you must not fail.

You’ll notice that a lot of younger adults are a lot less tolerant about stuff like:

Murder (a lot of youngsters are pro-death penalty in a lot of cases)
Kids out of wedlock (exasperation with the stupidity of not using protection)

There are a lot of morons, but the young are in fact a lot more realistic about so many things.
