just in time for Monaco, FReeper James Macomber's latest novel is released on Kindle for $3.99 and in my opinion, money well spent

http://www.amazon.com/Sovereign-Order-Thriller-James-Macomber/dp/0970953836

The sublimely evil villain is Rashid al-Nassef, long thought dead but actually living under Iranian protection, After several years of chafing in his “velvet prison” he receives the go-ahead to launch what will be the most destructive and horrific terrorist attack in history.

The assault is multi-leveled in both its substance and in its actors. The “martyrs” who will execute the plan come from many places; a Bosnian youth designated by al-Nassef to set off the first in a series of assaults, the young Belgian woman whose fanaticism as a Christian leads her to seek the love of Mohammed, the tyrannical and abusive Albanian Muslim and his wife and child who will effect the diversionary explosion on the day of the race, the Scots lawyer seduced into Islam as a youth, and finally, al-Nassef himself who will unleash the final act of horror - a multi-layered attack on the Monaco Grand Prix intended to kill tens of thousand immediately and leave an entire nation unlivable for decades to come.

Thanks for that, Charlie. Just wanted to note that, to commemorate the Monaco GP this weekend, the Kindle edition of "Sovereign Order" is on sale for $2.99 till Monday.

Also, Moltke, didn't know of Bob Judd previously. Like many long-time F1 fans, I've bemoaned the paucity of F1 fiction. Will definitely check him out.

Be aware that there are duplicate publications... Phoenix/Burn...Monza/Curve... same same. Perhaps others, didn’t go through the whole list. Good reads anyway, on a popcorn-movie level.

Back to the present, I just read that Ecclestone might throw in the towel over his bribery court case in Germany. Please!

As soon as I saw Rosberg pull into the runoff I wondered if it was a tactical stunt to scotch the laps of those following him; since he topped the chart at that moment, he’d assure himself of a pole if no-one could beat his time. Shades of the Schumi incident a few years back. Good for the stewards for investigating this.

I have it on my iPad. It has a live feed, stats, a layout of the course where you can track every car on the course. You can select a driver on the leader board and it will zoom onto the course where he is at that moment, plus a text of the driver-team comm. very well done, and I got a season pass for 11 bucks. If I remember correctly a few years back they wanted like 60 bucks for it. I passed on it at the time.
