While the United Nations and the Obama administration assert that climate change is settled science and requires dramatic regulatory oversight, 31,072 U.S. scientists have signed the Petition Project, saying the issue remains decidedly unsettled.

“There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will in the foreseeable future cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate,” the petition says.

“The purpose of the Petition Project is to demonstrate that the claim of ‘settled science’ and an overwhelming ‘consensus’ in favor of the hypothesis of human-caused global warming and consequent climatological damage is wrong,” the petition asserts. “No such consensus or settled science exists.”

Over 9,000 of the petition’s signatories have a Ph.D. in a scientific field. …

What’s the cut-off point of being an official scientist? Could a kid with a community college degree....get the title?

They should make it at least as strict as the Union of Concerned Scientists, which is that no degree is required at all.

What they mean is that the science is settled to anyone who matters. And those who still cling to that old fashioned notion of wanting to see the evidence before jumping to a conclusion don’t matter.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

I paid attention and this I know. You are intelligent, educated and experienced and you are a speck in the vast ignorant population of this country.

I would bet money there is a correlation between government regulation and rising taxes and, “climate change”.

Signatories are approved for inclusion in the Petition Project list if they have obtained formal educational degrees at the level of Bachelor of Science or higher in appropriate scientific fields.

All of the listed signers have formal educations in fields of specialization that suitably qualify them to evaluate the research data related to the petition statement. Many of the signers currently work in climatological, meteorological, atmospheric, environmental, geophysical, astronomical, and biological fields directly involved in the climate change controversy.

I don’t know about the Community College Degree, but I know you meet the qualification if you are a Democrat Politician or someone with a financial stake in “Green Energy”, which may be the same person.
