Well, no it isn’t. In fact, it’s probably as likely to occur as the rest of Paul Ehrlich’s predictions.
Ehrlich, a Stanford University biologist famous for his widely debunked book “The Population Bomb,” doubled down on his climate change and overpopulation fear-mongering with HuffPost Live on May 21. Ehrlich warned host Josh Zepps that the dangers of overpopulation are growing, blaming Republicans and the media for failing to take action. While hawking a new book called “Hope On Earth,” Ehrlich’s co-author Michael Tobias praised Ehrlich’s older, outrageously wrong predictions and said they underestimated the problem.

These environmental alarmists like Ehrlich, Bill McKibben, and of course AlGore keep making these awful predictions of our demise of the planet and they’re never right.
And they never go away. They just keep padding their bank accounts.

Widely debunked? It's completely debunked. He made predictions about population that didn't come true.
Ehrlich hasn't been right about anything in his professional life ever. But showing one of the fundamental defining characteristics of a liberal he has repeatedly failed to learn from his mistakes and keeps doubling down on error. Ehrlich is a joke, but when I suggested this to one of my former academic colleagues, he told me he no longer wanted to speak with me. No loss to me.
I'm down to about 3 liberal acquaintances with whom I still have a semi-cordial relationship. Talk of anything more controversial than the weather is strictly prohibited. I am amazed at how people who are otherwise intelligent (as measured by SAT scores, academic success, etc.) can be so freaking blind when it comes to their left-wing beliefs.
The commie libs continue getting sicker by the day. Ehrlich is a freak. I won’t be resorting to cannibalism because I’ll be eating “the other white meat.” Polar bears.
You can't even talk about the weather. Hot? Global warming, we're all gonna die. Cold? Climate change, we're all gonna die. Dry spell? Hurricane in the Gulf? Only World Socialism™ can save us.
You make an excellent point. And sports is becoming off-limits because basketball team owners are bigots, football draftees are gay, Heisman Trophy winners are criminals, football team names are racist, there’s not enough diversity in the front office in football and basketball (even though practically all of the players are Black—no problem there!) and on and on.
He was the last of mine. Unfortunately I still have a liberal sister-inlaw and brother-in-law. Can't get rid of your in laws. To give you an example of their idiotic ideas, they live in Tennessee (fortunately not close) and he was lobbying for the state to institute a state income tax. F****** moron. Told me how much better for the citizens it would be if the state had more money to spend. I reiterate F****** moron.

Gee is this he same Paul Erlich who in the 1970s assured us we would all be starving by the year 2000 due to overpopulation??? He sure nailed that one didn’t he.
The only way I was able to survive the Great Starvation of the 1980s was by eating remaindered copies of The Population Bomb.

That’s not fear of guns, that’s disapproval enforced by shunning.
Josh Sugarmann & Amitai Etzioni among others recommend marginalizing gun owners by the use of shunning tactics.
I listen to a podcast where they use cannibalism as the comparable next step that the left will try to “normalize” (after normalizing homosexuality, homo marriage, abortion, single parenthood, pedophilia, etc).
