The Maine Secession Movement is now actively inviting

The Maine Secession Movement is now actively inviting Born Again Christians to move to Maine from other states.

As the secession vote on June 12, 2018 moves ever closer, the Maine secession Movement is now actively encouraging Born Again Christian families in other states to put their property and business up for sale and move to Maine. This is being done in advance of the next release of the proposed Constitution for the Republic of Maine which will take effect immediately upon a successful vote for secession on June 12, 2018. This next release will include a section detailing how the entire border of Maine with both Canada and the United States, must be secured by Militia members and their families, resulting in nearly every square foot of land on the border being deeded over to members of the Militia who will live on the border, these parcels will range in size between 500 acres and 1500 areas.

A second reason is that we believe that as more and more, who will vote for secession, will move into Maine while more and more, who oppose secession, will start selling out and moving to other states where big government will remain. As an example, since education is reserved to the family first and then the local community with the State and the Counties explicitly denied any roll in education, we would expect that many NEA members will leave, all of the MEA staff will have no roll and will need to either leave or find gainful emplyment. Since welfare is non existent and is explicitly denied to any and all governments, but reserved to the churches and societies, we can think of no reason anyone currently on welfare will want to stay in Maine nor will there be any state positions for anyone now working in any of the welfare offices or bureaus.

To help Born Again Christians make their decision, below is the parts of the proposed Constitution that are now done. For additional information or help in locating property in Maine, please email freemaine at hushmail.com with "relocation" in the subject line.

Proposed Constitution of the Republic of Maine

PREAMBLE. We the people of the Republic of Maine, in order to establish justice, insure tranquility, provide for our mutual defense, promote our common welfare, and secure to ourselves and our posterity the blessings of liberty, acknowledging with grateful hearts the goodness of the Sovereign Ruler of the Universe in affording us an opportunity, so favorable to the design; and, imploring God's aid and direction in its accomplishment, do this twelfth day of June, in the year of our Lord 2018, by majority of the people voting do agree to form ourselves from henceforth into a free and independent Christian Nation, by the style and title of the Republic of Maine and do ordain and establish the following Constitution for the government of the same.

Article I. Declaration of Rights.

Section 1. Natural rights. All people are born equally free and independent, and have certain natural, inherent and unalienable rights, among which are those of enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing and protecting property, and of pursuing and obtaining safety and happiness.

Section 2. Power inherent in people. All power is inherent in the people; all free governments are founded in their authority and instituted for their benefit; they have therefore an unalienable and indefeasible right to institute government, and to alter, reform, or totally change the same, when their safety and happiness require it.

Section 3. Religious freedom; all Christian sects are equal; religious tests prohibited; religious teachers. All individuals have a natural and unalienable right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences, and no person shall be hurt, molested or restrained in that person's liberty or estate for worshiping God in the manner and season most agreeable to the dictates of that person's own conscience, nor for that person's religious professions or sentiments, provided that, that person does not disturb the public peace, nor obstruct others in their religious worship; all persons demeaning themselves peaceably, as good members of the State, shall be equally under the protection of the laws, and no subordination nor preference of any one Christian sect or Christian denomination to another shall ever be established by law, nor shall any religious test be required as a qualification for any office or trust, under this State; and all religious societies in this State, whether incorporated or unincorporated, shall at all times have the exclusive right of electing their public teachers, and contracting with them for their support and maintenance. Christian leaders, pastors and teachers are encouraged to keep their charges, congregations, students, etc informed of what the government is doing from the pulpit, in private and public conversations, debates or conversation in general. No law is to be passed that limits the rights of Christian participation, leadership, or criticism of the government of Maine, the counties, or the local municipalities. All public meetings are to open with the Lords prayer and close with a Christian benediction thanking the Lord for the preceding and imploring His safety for all leaving the meeting.

Section 3a. Business closed on Sunday. Since it would not be possible for the Republic of Maine to secede and be free without the will and Divine help of the Lord God of Creation, and since the Lord God of Creation clearly states that in six days He created the heavens and the earth and all that is them and on them, and that He rested on the seventh day, the people of the Republic of Maine shall, as a Christian nation, in deep and abiding gratitude to God Almighty, the Trinity, the Creator, allow no businesses any where within the borders of the Republic of Maine, other than those exempted in section 3b, to open on the Sundays from midnight to midnight.

Section 3b. Businesses exempt from Section 3a. Since God in the form of the Lord Jesus, did on numerous occasions in the New Testament, heal on the Sabbath day, we therefore declare that those businesses that are necessary for human life, such as hospitals, pharmacies, and doctors offices may be open on Sundays, but only to offer services and products necessary for human life, products that could not wait till Monday. The Legislature, shall after notifying and consulting with Christian pastors, determine a list of businesses that shall be allowed to open on Sunday in a strictly voluntary manner. No public celebrations, games, or parties shall be allowed on the Sabbath and may not be exempted.

Section 4. Freedom of speech and publication; libel; truth given in evidence; jury determines law and fact. Every citizen may freely speak, write and publish sentiments on any subject, being responsible for the abuse of this liberty; no laws shall be passed regulating or restraining the freedom of the press; and in prosecutions for any publication respecting the official conduct of people in public capacity, or the qualifications of those who are candidates for the suffrages of the people, or where the matter published is proper for public information, the truth thereof may be given in evidence, and in all indictments for libels, the jury, after having received the direction of the court, shall have a right to determine, at their discretion, the law and the fact.

Section 5. Unreasonable searches prohibited. The people shall be secure in their persons, houses, papers and possessions from all unreasonable searches and seizures; and no warrant to search any place, or seize any person or thing, shall issue without a special designation of the place to be searched, and the person or thing to be seized, nor without probable cause -- supported by oath or affirmation.

Section 6. The Militia and the standing army of 1,000. So as to insure and guarantee the rights guaranteed in this Constitution, every natural born male in the Republic of Maine, upon reaching the age of 18 years from conception through age 67 years from conception, has, as a member of the Militia, the obligation to keep and bear arms for the common defense, for his and his families protection, to defend against this government or any government in the future from becoming oppressive, tyrannical, or in any other way obnoxious to freedom, and to secure the rights written in this Constitution. This obligation shall never be questioned. No law shall be passed that restricts this obligation, except for time in a local jail, county jail or Maine Republic prison. No law shall be passed, test given, or fee assessed to any citizen of the Republic of Maine that would restrict in any way that citizens right to be armed either concealed or open. Males who are found to be or confess to being homosexuals are exempted from serving in either the Militia or the standing army. Males over the age of 65 may be voluntary members of the militia with the full rights of Militia members. Natural born males between the age of 16 years from conception to 18 years from conception may volunteer for militia service with the written permission of parents or guardians. The standing army of 1,000 shall be drawn from the militia by the commander of the Militia and is under the command of the commander of the militia who is appointed by and reports directly to the President.

Section 7. All human life is precious and a gift from God. Age is counted from the moment life begins, which is at the moment of conception and as such, all human life is protected from conception to death and has the full rights of this Constitution from conception. Any citizen of the Republic of Maine may use what ever force he or she deems necessary to protect human life. All abortions are considered first degree premeditated murder, children are entrusted, by God the Creator to that child's parents and as such are the responsibility of the parents, not the state, no level of Government whether local, county or Republic is to, in any way, over rule a parent in the rearing, educating, and/or influencing that child in any way.

Section 7a. Education. All education is left to the local community, to the parents first and foremost and then to the city, town or community in which the family resides. The counties and the Republic are explicitly denied any role in a child's education with the exception of Militia members while on duty and prisoners while in the care of the county jail or prison of the Republic. The first and foremost responsibility to teach a child Religion, obedience, patriotism, loyalty, righteousness, and to be a productive member of society rest squarely upon the shoulders of the parent(s), the local communities role is to support and reinforce that parental responsibility.

Section 8. Land use ordinances.

“to defend against this government or any government in the future from becoming oppressive, tyrannical, or in any other way obnoxious to freedom”

The entire concept is already all of those things.

Why would the people’s republic of Maine be looking for born agains to move there and water down their socialist tendencies?

Will the militia be enforcing religion? Let’s take an example. Let’s say your Pastor defines Christianity as Trinitarian. (I see the Trinity mentioned in one of the clauses.) Let’s say the religious authorities hear of a Unitarian sect holding worship services. Will the militia be called out to suppress their worship?

The only rational secessionist movement even remotely possible is one where the states rebel legislatively and economically against federal government and that isn’t even secession. Its just the states reasserting their rightful powers.

Personally I would be satisfied if we could re-amend the 16th and 17th amendments.

The issue is academic, anyway.

President Obama won in ME by 110,000 votes or almost 17%.

TROM is telling us that ME will go from voting 57% for a socialist to voting 60% to secede from the Union in a few years.

In order to overcome the deficit and get to 60% in that time, he needs to find 300,000 more voters - ME's population needs to increase by more than 33% in that time frame, maybe 40% since his targeted newcomers have larger than average families.

ME has about 10,000 houses on the market in any given year and about 700,000 total. So ME's housing stock would have to increase by about 25% or more over that period, or at about 20 times its normal pace.

Quite obviously this is a fool's errand, but the conceit of the thread is that we should ignore the impossibility of the scheme.

A meaningless statement without statistics to back it up.

Time will tell.

Math tells us now.

Allow me to speak the following, definitively: 2 + 2 = 4.

Am I right about that? Or shall we wait for time to tell us the answer to this too?

I sure hope they’re calling for the military to remove all their personnel AND equipment. After all, they are federally funded and the nation of Maine won’t be able to afford to maintain them anyway.

Question about Section 4: does this wording allow the Republic of Maine to prohibit obscenity and pornography? How does the Republic of Maine intend to deal with the border-trespassing by the Internet with regard to pornography?

“Quite obviously this is a fool’s errand, but the conceit of the thread is that we should ignore the impossibility of the scheme.”

Nothing is impossible with God and an armed militia on your side to enforce your religious dogma.

Feasibility shouldn’t even play a part in judging a plan like this. It’s diametrically opposed to the principles of freedom and liberty it claims to champion.

Pornography is not covered under freedom of speech. As for the internet, now that is a problem we are hoping that there will be a way to block it but fear this will not be, as a result we ahve Section 7a.

Well, the proposed new constitution calls for a standing army of 1,000.

So that fixes everything.

With no welfare and being a Christian nation, why would they stay?

Once they understand that they ahve to be out of Maine and into a welfare state six months before we secede, they will be gone. those who want to work are welcome to stay, as long as they understand that there is no govt welfare at any level of govt.
