Dogs are known for their loyalty to their owners – but it seems this doesn’t extend to one other.

This YouTube video shows Cody the dog being sold out by his ‘friends’ after they were asked who had made a mess on the floor.

Two of the hounds, Murphy and Maggie, weren’t to be tarred with Cody’s brush during the interrogation and were quick to give up their pal.

Rather than stick up for himself, though, the guilty party knew the game was up and retreated back to the bedroom. Safe move.

A cat is a Nietzschean superbeing, beyond the concepts of good and evil, and thus wouldn’t care. (Until the meal service is interrupted.)

I nominate this for a new undead thread.

Wouldn't bother me. The old one is getting cluttered.

Oh my gosh...and some folks will try to tell us that animals,(dogs in particular), don’t feel emotions as we think of them, shakes head.

Not only was Maggie deeply ashamed, but Cody and Murphy were every bit as relaxed/happy/chill, in knowing THEY were in the clear.

Poor lil thing, no white privilege for her : /

Personally, I don’t think Maggie did it. She was set up.

I love this video, and never get tired of it. But it’s Maggie’s own guilty conscience that gives her away.

My main dog has never been hit or abused in any way since he was a puppy, but he has a terribly guilty conscience nevertheless and often acts guilty when he has done nothing wrong. The small emergency backup dog has no conscience whatsoever, being a brainless idiot. So when someone has burglarized the garbage can or messed up the human beds, I never accept their accounts of who did it.

LOL, too cute. I love the way Cody slinks off, all guilt-ridden.

The dog that slunk off was not Maggie, it was male. I think the dog that acted guilty was probably named Cody, because he first started to hang his head low when she asked if Cody did it. The other two didn’t look away when she specified any of the three names.

So your main dog is Catholic and your backup dog is a liberal? ;^)

You know...I never thought of it that way, but you could be right. I’d certainly like to think that my main dog is Catholic—that something of what I tried to teach him has rubbed off. The little idiot is sweet and pretty but not what you would call a major intellectual force.

When the kids were little and we played hide-and-seek and I was “it,” the dog would tattle on where the kids were hiding. She totally cracked me up!
