Amazon has recently made the morning-after pill Plan B, a so-called emergency contraceptive, available online. For about $20, anyone can have an abortion-inducing drug with high doses of contraceptive hormones shipped right to their door step. (And when we say anyone, that includes statutory rapists who want to use the drug on young victims without their consent.)
On the other hand, to obtain low-dose hormonal birth control pills, youll have to schedule a doctors appointment, be examined, and obtain a prescription. According to Students for Life of America, an organization working to expose the dangers and victimizing potential of Plan Bs unrestricted availability:
Despite being more powerful than the birth control pill (which requires a doctors exam) the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Plan B (the morning after pill) for sale behind the counter, to anyone 17 and older in 2009. Following the order of a U.S. District Court Judge in April of 2013, the FDA announced this June that the drug should be sold over the counter, on store shelves, to anyone of any age.
Plan B has a few modes of operation, primarily to stop ovulation from occurring and leading to fertilization. However, this is not Plan Bs sole mode of operation. The drug and all other forms of emergency contraception not only prevent pregnancies it has the potential according to current research to end them as well. If fertilization occurs before the ingestion of Plan B, the drug has abortifacient qualities which will cause the womans body to expel a newly-conceived human embryo.
As weve discussed in the past, the abortion movement and its ilk have devised semantic games (which have gotten more elaborate with time) to circumvent the reality of this fact. They argue that pregnancy doesnt exist until after an embryo implants in its mothers uterus (which is false), and therefore, Plan B cant be an abortifacient. One of the sellers even states that the drug will not harm an existing pregnancy.
But the facts of science are inescapable: the FDA itself slapped a warning right onto the drug saying that it has the ability to cause an abortion (specifically, it may inhibit implantation). Spanish language marketing for the drug on Amazon is also deceptive. It lists the drug as a piladora de emergencia para evitar un embarazo an emergency pill to avoid pregnancy. There is no mention of its modes of operation, including its ability to cause abortion, in English or Spanish.
I got to thinking (yes that is dangerous) and I figured if Amazon is selling then so is ebay. I hate always being right.
also search these tags on ebay:

I hate to say it but Pandora’s box is opened on this drug.
I blame the FDA, they can sell drugs that can blow out your liver like acetaminophen over the counter and yet simple birth control ie. low dose estrogen has to come with a prescription....
The FDA is keeping the price of birth control pills artificially high by never making them over the counter....
This is one fail the libs never realize, their precious Big government organization the FDA is keeping a LOT of drug prices high by forcing them to stay prescription on behest of their cronies....
I think if the drug has fewer side effects that Tylenol it should be made over the counter.
There are a lot of heart and diabetes and other medication that could easily be made over the counter that would lower the price a LOT of senior citizens pay...
The current structure is like masking aspirin prescription which of course would raise prices dramatically...
Same goes for blood pressure medicine, and lots of others that serve to keep health care costs high.
Agree 100%. Great post.
The FDA is just another death panel.
the sorts of items available all over the net.....represent an enormous pandora’s box.
as good as the net is...its also that evil.
FDA violated its own rules it applies to any pharma company trying to get a new product on the market or expanding the indications for the drugs useage.
FDA requires stringent safety studies, stringent short term studies and stringent long term studies re safety.
FDA will not approve a new indication for a drug that has been approved for years with an excellent safety record without more studies.
FDA became the whores for the rats when they made these potent drugs available over the counter without a doctor’s rx.
“I’m waiting for the trial lawyers to come out like sharks and take this one on.”
Most trial lawyers are big time rats and donors to the rats. So if they did this, that could cause them problems in the future with rat politicos.
Let’s make all birth control products over the counter so that insurance does not have to pay for them.
