Sarah Silverman may be one of the most pro-abortion celebrities in existence, even making an offensive pro-abortion video with “Jesus F***ing Christ” telling her all about how abortion is A-OK. This Friday night, she made an interesting appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher, where she talked about raising money to help women in Texas get abortions, which led to her making a “shocking” admission that she’s never had an abortion, and calling unborn babies “goo”.
“We have to see them as human,” Silverman said, “and hopefully maybe they will see us as human.” When the protesters told her she was going to hell, she replied, “I can’t! I don’t believe in God.”
She said her aim is show these people “a human face to this side that they only know as ‘people who want to murder babies.’ And meanwhile, it’s goo. It’s goo that they’re so worried about. And they’re born, and it’s you’re on your own, slut.”
“And the truth is, and I don’t like to admit this,” Silverman continued, “I’ve never had an abortion and I don’t know if I would. But it doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t fight to the death for women to make their own choices for their own human bodies.”
“Thank you for being brave enough to admit you’ve never had an abortion,” Maher joked in response.
Considering that having an abortion is practically a mandatory rite of passage for today’s pro-abortion feminists, it’s understandable that Silverman would joke about being embarrassed that she hasn’t had one.
More offensive is the description of unborn babies as “goo.” It’s typical, of course — a way for abortion activists to point and laugh at pro-lifers for fighting so hard in defense of something they see as so insubstantial and meaningless. Whether it’s goo, a clump of tissues, or a product of conception, dehumanizing phrases are used constantly to describe unborn children. But here’s a question: when does the baby stop being “goo”, and become a baby? Would it be when the heart starts beating? How about at four months, when the gender can be determined? Or would it be at six months, when the baby reaches viability? What about at eight months pregnant, when the baby isn’t born yet, but is kicking and moving and almost ready to be born?
Abortion advocates like Silverman like to sneer at pro-lifers and denigrate us as anti-science, but the truth is, they ignore science all the time. They have to, in order to defend being pro-abortion. The science of embryology proves the inherent humanity of the unborn. At the moment of conception, the baby already is a unique being, completely separate from his or her mother. At just three short weeks after conception, the baby’s heart is already beating; brain activity can be measured just six weeks after conception. At eight to ten weeks after conception, the baby is making practice breathing motions, responds to touch, and can suck their thumb.

Does that sound like “goo” to you? The fact is, the humanity of the child is undeniable in the face of these facts, which is why pro-abortion extremists like Sarah Silverman have to work so hard to obfuscate them.
I imagine that the Nazi’s felt the same way about the Jews during WWII.
