Turks: You can’t be a part of Canada
Do you know bow to play hockey?
If it had a navy, Canada could support sovereignty in the Turks and Caicos. So far Canada can only exercise sovereignty over land that no one else wants.
Ditto for Hollywood just to the south of Fort Lauderdale. The day I went there one January the place was 99 percent French Canadians.
They would have to convert from the Dollar to the Looney. Not sure GB would give the islands up.
And Clearwater, FL becomes a part of Ontario, when the Canadians come south for Blue Jays Spring Training.
Quick, lets sell them our hawaii before they change their minds!
Yes, we could work something out. The real reason that this hasn’t happened yet is that many Canadians (you know the type) thought it would be tantamount to imperialism — it would look like the start of a Canadian empire.
I see there’s one island there that will need a name change - to Canuck Town.
Obama’s TSA has introduced new rules and regs which negatively impact Canada’s snowbird community. We need a no strings friendly warm destination that allows complete access to our bennies. An influx of frostbacks with pockets full of cash will greatly improve the local economics and allow canucks to spend their cash at “home” a win-win.
