Yes, of course. What the hell did you think was going to happen?

$100 million dollars of private vouchers would have made a real and long lasting difference.

That giant boombox brings back memories of the 1980s.

I had one like the picture below. It wasn't just for the ghettos in those days. Everybody under the age of 20 seemed to be lugging one of those around.

You had to make sure you were near a power outlet though because those monsters really sucked those "D" batteries down fast.

Zuckerberg might as well have taken a wheelbarrow of $100 bills and shoveled them into a roaring fireplace.

“Federal Judge Russel Clark spent BILLIONS of Missourian taxpayer dollars on the Kansas City school system in the late 80’s and early 90’s. The money might as well have been thrown into the sea.
See Money And School Performance: Lessons from the Kansas City Desegregation Experiment”

This is a long read, but very informative - especially when it come to unintended consequences of liberal policy.

Most have never heard of the KCMO school experiment/debacle...because it debunks liberal slogans about spending more for schools.

You could throw a billion dollars at those public schools, and it wouldn’t make a dent in student achievement. Private and charter schools could maybe help 20-30%. The rest are doomed by low IQs and bad attitudes.
