Which One Deserves Death? Which One Was Conceived From Rape?
OneVike

Posted on 05/27/2014 3:00:57 PM PDT by OneVike

Can you tell the difference?

The original reason many supported abortion, was because of rape or incest. Forty years later less than 1 percent of the more than 1 million abortions in the US, occur because of rape or incest.

Please tell me what the child did to deserve death in those two circumstances, because as far as God is concerned, to support abortion under any circumstance is still murder.

Around the world there has been more than 1.5 BILLION babies have been aborted worldwide in the past 50 years. An estimated 50 million abortions are carried out throughout the world every year. One in five pregnancies worldwide end in abortion. 42% of all deaths in the world every year are from abortion. That means that every two seconds a baby is aborted. That's right, every time your heartbeats an unborn baby is murdered.

And we claim the Roman Empire was barbaric.

Please pray for this genocide to end.

And this is exactly why we need to defeat the stigma of adoption. Instead of anti-abortion how about pro-adoption? An anti-abortion plank doesn’t give an alternative. It’s an ultimatum. Adoption is a sane alternative choice and should be promoted as such.

And I'll offer another option:

Given the multitude of choices, many paid for by the Government - HOW ABOUT JUST NOT GETTING PREGNANT IN THE FIRST PLACE!

I'd like to know how many of those that ‘forgot’ and became pregnant, have ever forgot to pay for their cell phone or Internet service?

I guess it is all about priorities.

As we warned them in the 70’s.

Abortion will be used as a form of birth control.

Well, here we are.

So if my Mom could not handle the stigma of carrying me to term, she should have been given the choice to murder me?

As I said, I thank God it wasn’t available in “56”

OneVike brings up a good point, about the free availability of abortion. The proposal that a woman who has been raped has a “right” to abortion presupposes a flourishing industry of abortion on demand. That’s what we have now.

What if we didn’t have that?

As another poster stated, incest is not rape. Some people just cringe at the idea, that is all.

As for “too sick” that is like deciding that retarded babies are going to have a bad life, so why bother? Sounds like we are starting to decide when it is too inconvenient, like my old sick dog. God needs to make the decision.

Exactly, why make the innocent mother pay? Can you explain that since you just threw it out there. Pregnancy Isn’t cheap and I don’t see pro lifers starting any funds or putting up the cash to cover the expenses. I get that holding signs and hurling judgments is so much easier than actually putting your cash where your mouth is.

If you want to save those kids so much, you should have no issues putting your check up to help these rape victims pay for lost wages, medical bills, emotional damage of carrying a rape baby, and after birth counceling. Are these lives not worth your hard earned money? How much have you donated? Anything?

Nursing my old, sick dog (actually my daughter’s dog, before she went into the military) has led me to reject any argument based on, “We have to spare them suffering by killing them.”

One night, I woke up when I heard Ash’s collar jingle, and as I was wondering whether I should get up to let her outside, I heard a voice, clear as any other, say, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Would I want someone to get out of bed to let me out if I needed to go to the bathroom? You bet I would.

We just put down ours the other week, on my mother’s birthday, one day before the dog’s. She finally refused to walk altogether.

I don’t like coming to that point, but the danger is in crossing over and thinking it is OK for people, too.

That’s the thing, dogs aren’t people. When painkillers didn’t keep Ash comfortable any more, our vet gave her a great big sedative. I might have waited too long, in terms of keeping her comfortable, because I didn’t want to say, “It’s too much trouble for me to take care of you.”

I wouldn’t do that to a child, and I wouldn’t just write off the dog, either. As long as she could enjoy Sunbeam Time and hobble up the street, I gave her the giant painkillers and got up several times every night. When she couldn’t get to her feet on her own, I had to give up.

There are tens of thousands of pro life centers all across this country who pay for the birth of unwanted babies and even find homes for them.

So that’s is an empty hallow accusation.

How big a fee would you require for you to not kill a baby?

Why did aborting babies for rape only come out of the 1960/70s, the same period when we started removing the death penalty for rape?

My vet and his wife are in the process of adopting a baby girl, who is due to be born in August. Through the Christian adoption agency, they are paying for the expectant mother’s medical expenses, her living expenses, and many incidentals.

He told me that when their adopted daughter is old enough to know, they want to be able to say that they contributed in every way they could for the birth mother to have a good life.

We nursed Hershee for the last couple Months of her life. She lived two days past this past Christmas. She was 18.

I took this picture about three weeks before we had to put her down because her kidneys stopped working. till sad she is gone.

Like you, she was a dog, how much more should we treat all humans, even the youngest and most unwanted.

There is no reason for a baby born with disease or disability to suffer extreme pain --- not with modern pain meds available.

I have known babies born with multiple disabilities who lived but a short time --- one 8 days, one just over 2 1/2 years --- but they were able to smile and enjoy, to appreciate mama's milk, to like being rocked, to like the sun on their skin or a little ball that jingled when it rolled. The 2 year old was delighted with bananas. They can, according to their mysterious capacity, love and be loved. And they elicit love from all the care-givers, who then constitute a community of love around that little nucleus, the child.

It is an insult to God, the Lord and Giver of Life, when He says "Baby, live" and you say "No."

EXACTLY! Birth control is readily available. And there’s always the option of keeping one’s legs together! That’s what people used to do in the “bad old days” when getting pregnant out of wedlock was shameful.

It’s not me - I have ten of my own - but Dr. Kaylor, our veterinarian. He’s a great guy, with three young sons. Please say a prayer for his family and the birth mother of the little girl they intend to adopt. There’s always something that can go wrong.
