Despite being soundly rejected a few years ago, cap-and-trade will soon get its U.S. encore — but not in Congress. The Obama administration will likely use its executive power to unilaterally impose carbon dioxide emissions trading systems.
The plan is being sold as a “flexible” one. By allowing states a menu of policy options to meet federal mandates, the standards will ostensibly meet the unique needs of each individual state. But the stark reality behind the proposal is that it will be a boon for states that have already imposed cap-and-trade systems — which are overwhelmingly Democratic states.
“While President Obama continues to pedal around his climate agenda in the hopes of solidifying a presidential legacy, concerns about how American businesses and consumers will actually meet these costly rules have been met with only silence,” said Laura Sheehan, spokeswoman for the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electrcity.
“Given the current path we’re on, the administration is gambling with the livelihoods of hardworking Americans and is threatening to tip our country over the edge in costly and unreliable energy policies,” Sheehan said. “And once we go over that ledge, there’s no coming back up.”

Yep, pretty soon having heat and AC may be a luxury.
But you know what? That's not going to happen, at least not by us anyway, because we can no more lower the percentage than we can raise it because the freakin' atmosphere is 5 QUADrillion metric tons which might as well be infinity when it comes to man, ESPECIALLY when we are competing with a plant population that is trillions of times more populous than humans.
Gee, look at all that green. Obviously that must be from a bunch of people wearing green shirts, or maybe it's all green cars.

FACT: Global warming is yet scientifically unproved. Any regulation enacted by the EPA based on unproven science would be fraud and any enforcement there of would be criminal. But, since the resident in the WH is a criminal..............
It’s all about money, the so called “scientists” want their grant money, the communists in government want the taxes, and the charlatans like Al Gore want to make more millions. That guy is worth half a billion so far and the last time he held a 9-5 job was 14 years ago.
I’ve been saying this very thing since before the Obama catastrophe. Look at the post 9-11 patriotic groundswell the last real wake-up call, it was a response to painful stimulus. We in this society are so removed from this kind of discomfort that the normalcy bias does not allow the majority to contemplate where we are headed.
The only thing that will create a sea change in the majority attitude is real abject pain. The last thing I want is for this country to go though the kind of pain that’s coming but short of that there will be no change.
I just hope we get it over with soon before another generation is indoctrinated to Marxism and we still remember conservatism, capitalism and constitutionalism.
Wouldn’t it be easier for him to just aim all of our nuclear missiles on the US instead of getting rid of us slowly?

My grandson is in high school in West TX. He showed me a handout given to him in geography class stating that man made global warming is a fact.
