He feels the government is using the Sept 11 attack to justify taking away our freedoms.

He said the Iraq war was based on a lie that may have been the result of bad intelligence. But he implied there were no WMD’s

He started the interview by asking, if what he did was supposedly so harmful, show him who has been harmed. It’s been a year already.

What Snowden did hurt the US Establishment.

The cornerstone of the Establishment is the MSM.

WHY would Snowden consent to an MSM interview…?

Alex Jones posted the video, but perhaps for legal or HYPE reasons he cut the audio signal just past the 2 minute mark, apparently to drive his listeners nutso with Illuminati fears.

Or something.

I ask anyone to show me one thing they have seen that Snowden released that was a secret OTHER than they’re spying on citizens, they’re using social websites to do it and your telephone can be used against you. If those things are considered secret we’re really in trouble.

As for Iraq, I think he was saying it could have been bad intelligence ON PURPOSE. In other words, it wasn’t Bush and Powell lying. They believed what they were being told. But they were being lied to.

I’ll always believe this man is a patriot. He has confirmed what many of us have been saying for years. YOU ARE BEING WATCHED and they can ruin you if they want to. My biggest fear is someone pisses off his next door neighbor and his neighbor’s brother works for the NSA.

Sadly, most people in this country will ask “Edward who?”

He said the Iraq war was based on a lie that may have been the result of bad intelligence.

This was already known. The claim that Saddam was trying to obtain yellowcake came from Italian intelligence, but was later determined to be fabricated. However, no one either knows or wants to admit who did it, or why.

I'm not sure it made any difference, as Saddam already had tons of yellowcake. It was eventually shipped to Canada.

But he implied there were no WMD’s

Saddam claimed there were none after he was captured, in an interview with an FBI interrogator. But, Saddam also said that he pretended to have them, as a bluff. He had many enemies, and the US wasn't even at the top of the list. I think Saddam didn't believe the US had the political will to invade.

Saddam also said that he was biding his time until sanctions were lifted, so he could start his WMD development again.

And, there's that convoy of trucks to Syria before the invasion (captured in a satellite image). Subsequent investigation concluded that it was unlikely it was WMD, but admitted it wasn't possible to rule it out completely. One has to wonder if any of it ended up in that factory that Israel bombed into oblivion a few years afterward. Syria plowed over it and buried everything, with nary a protest.

You are correct (see my previous posting -- the faulty intelligence came from the Italians). But no one wants to admit who lied, and for what purpose.

Perhaps the source was someone in the Iraqi government, who wanted out, wanted money, or just wanted to mislead.

Glenn Greenwald claims he will be releasing a list of US citizens that were targeted for survelliance:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2014/05/26/greenwalds_finale_naming_victims_of_surveillance_122747.html

“One of the big questions when it comes to domestic spying is, ‘Who have been the NSA’s specific targets?’," he said. “Are they political critics and dissidents and activists? Are they genuinely people we’d regard as terrorists? What are the metrics and calculations that go into choosing those targets and what is done with the surveillance that is conducted? Those are the kinds of questions that I want to still answer.”

The simplest explanation is that the Iranian government and their Shi'ite sympathizers in Iraq have had moles in the highest reaches of the U.S. government for years.

A little research on the background of Ahmed Chalabi might be worthwhile.

Why does the audio end for the last couple of minutes?

Why does the audio end for the last couple of minutes?

A YouTube video score assigns EQUAL weight to either a thumbs up or thumbs down --either helps the score. Also ANY follow-up comment strongly boosts the score. I strongly think Alex Jones deliberately cut the audio with the goal of churning up stronger reactions, including negative reactions. He just wants people to comment and "thumbs down" him. When I posted the link I had not known the audio dropped out after 2 min. :(

That will be quite interesting to see who has been targeted.
