Quinn and Rose are off the air, and we await word that they are, hopefully, returning soon. Meanwhile, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will meet in our usual spot - same time, same station - as we always have! So grab your coffee - or whatever you choose to start your day - and drop in for some political chit-chat, or just to shoot the breeze! We are all coming from - or going to - work, but we all stop in to say hi! Feel free to join us!
Morning AM! Was just reading the thread about Obama’s attack on coal powered power plants. We have 3 in our county. I see massive loss of jobs here if he goes ahead with his plan.
I can’t wait until the next presidential election!!!! I want him OUT of our White House!!
Well, early today!
Yup I was reading the same thread. It will be a bloodbath jobs-wise and costs will skyrocket. THANKS OBAMA and the COMMIE RAT MINIONS!
Back later, I'm finishing up at work and have to be in the main studio.
Yep, “early to bed, early to rise’ and all that. The dems in the coal-producing states should be ashamed of themselves. A guy down the road from us - retired coal miner - still has his Obama sticker proudly displayed in his window. Let’s see how proud he is when his electricity prices go way up! Of course, he’s a dem, so that won’t matter. Idjit democRAT! The ‘D’ is more important than the ‘USA’ to ‘rats!
I was through McKees Rocks last week. Still a lot of BO signage.
Trisha Yearwood's Uncle Wilson's Grilled Onions
6 large sweet white onions, such as Vidalia
12 strips bacon
2 tablespoons butter
Salt and pepper
Peel and wash the onions. With the point of a small, sharp knife, cut a 1-inch core from the top of each onion and make shallow slits in a circle around the top. Wrap 2 slices of bacon horizontally around each onion, and secure them with toothpicks. Then put 1 teaspoon of butter in each core. Season with salt and pepper.
Place each onion on a square of aluminum foil and bring the edges together at the top, leaving a small opening for steam to escape. Put the foil-wrapped onions on the grill and cook for 1 hour, or until the onions are tender when pierced with the tip of a knife. You can also bake in the oven at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. Cool the onions for a few minutes then unwrap and cut into quarters to serve.
There is a video at the link. They look better than in this picture.

Quinn on twitter now. I hope he comments on Obama’s bizarre speech at West Point!
Wow that sounds good! Showing it to Mr S. He’s the grilling person around here!
Good morning n’@ everyone!
That baked (or grilled) onion sounds AWESOME!
Now I have to say that it is NOT EVEN June, and I’m already TIRED of my taxi servicing to accommodate too many workers/drivers/not enough vehicles. The PowerBall let me down. Again. Can we come up with a game where you win “something” for purchasing tickets that never match anything?!? I’d clean up!
