MILWAUKEE -- There was a profanity-laced outburst in court Thursday from a teenager accused of shooting 10-year-old Sierra Guyton.

Sylvester Lewis faced a judge for the first time today. The outburst came after Lewis refused to sign a "no contact" order, which ordered him to stay away from Sierra Guyton's family and eyewitnesses.

I used to be a regular Overstock shopper. Now they are pushing “Snoop Dog” stuff and wonder where I went. I commented to them that I would not support that thug. They told me how he was a New Man and a father figure. Sorry, I’m gone as a Overstock customer while they are his advocate.

Given the angry outburst of the perp in court, one wonders why he was released onto the public regardless of bail.

True. The lack of accountability & personal responsibility is why he's in his present spot; letting him get by w/this underscores it.

I looked him up because of his double talk from the article:

"there's no simple solution to the tens of thousands of cases he oversees each year. .."We have to make an appropriate determination of what's the best thing to do with this person" .. blahblahblah..."our obligation is to hold the person accountable and you do so with the best evidence you have...

AND YET

"...he violated his get out of jail card after being busted for burglary. ... State records show he had nine violations while on probation that included fighting, verbal threats and drinking. ... Lewis ended up back in jail for the violations until October of last year [apparently he was let out then ?!!] Since then police say he was involved in a couple of other shootings before being charged in the playground shooting."

It is all about accountability -- or not having any.

I'm speaking of the DA here, not the perp.

H'mmm, possible explanation why poor DA John Chisholm is backlogged, overworked, and lets murderous criminals out of jail:

The beginning of this latest action against conservative groups originated in the office of Milwaukee County Assistant District Attorney Bruce Landgraf.

Landgraf works for Milwaukee County Democratic District Attorney John Chisholm, and the timing is highly suspicious, because the subpoenas were issued just before Democrat Mary Burke announced her candidacy for Governor.

Because the investigation is taking place under Wisconsin's John Doe law, which forbids the subpoena's targets from disclosing its contents publicly, the targets cannot publicly defend themselves, which makes it difficult to ascertain how severe the action is.

Recourse for him allowing this thug out of jail REPEATEDLY?
