Has anyone found out anything about Richard Martinez yet?
It was like he appeared out of thin air on the day of the shooting. He has no Internet presence other than that, no business, no residence, no phone numbers, no photographs.
Importantly, there are several Richard Martinez’s in California, but all the others do not fit his profile.
His son, if it is indeed his son, has an identity, but the father is a blank.
The gun grabbers 15 mins are up. Loser.

I think Richard Martinez blaming the NRA is definitely a grief related onslaught....however, no one is saying what he does for a living...Does anyone know? Did Democrats get to him about using his son’s death for promoting gun control? Or was he just anti gun to begin with? Why is he not blaming Rodgers who killed his son?

SoFloFreeper said he was a criminal defense attorney, I don’t know how he found that out, but if true it would be interesting to know if he ever helped any clients beat gun charges or defended any armed robbery suspects or even murder suspects. It just seems strange like you said why this guy would be holding press conferences the day of the killing to denounce gun laws rather than mental health laws/issues which is the real reason his son was murdered.
When a psycho is hellbent on killing people, being shot is one of the least gruesome ways they can do it. They had a case here in NYC a few years back where a guy made a flamethrower and burned a woman to death in an elevator. Would Mr. Martinez have preferred his son get killed that way? The point being that if a psycho is hellbent on killing people, he is going to kill people gun or no gun. The issue is not guns, the issue is why psychopaths are being allowed to run amok.
In every single mass murder case we’ve had, the killer was known to be a danger or out of control, yet nothing was done because it is extremely difficult to involuntarily commit someone to a mental institution today, most likely because of prejudice against the mentally ill. If someone gets hit by a car they are immediately taken to a hospital yet the mentally damaged are ignored as if it’s not serious when nothing could be further from the truth. Another reason could be people think those laws would be abused, accusing mentally sound people of being deranged. Instead of focusing on the rights of illegal immigrants, how about they focus on this metal health issue instead?
Richard Martinez, purported father of Christopher Martinez, cannot be found in CA using an intelius search. Christopher Martinez is not on Facebook? Veronika Weiss not on Facebook? No mention of a funeral for Christopher Martinez per google search. Richard Martinez mentions Karen Michaels (age 64 or so) in this video, looks to his left, and at 1:16-1:23 of the video you’ll see she’s not there. Why the mystery shadow on the picnic table when the sun is overhead. This all smacks of a reality show.

Richard Martinez is an alleged 60yo defense attorney. He can’t found on intelius search. I doubt he’s on any such search, nor linked to his wife Karen Michaels, or his son Christopher.
Maybe he’s got some feelings bubbling up because of his “past life” as a criminal defense attorney.
What are the odds any of them illegally used a gun when he rose to their defense?
They are being hyped at an alarming rate by 24-7 exploitation media (which seems to savor a certain amount of chaos and mayhem).
There was another SUV rampage killing in the same community 13 years ago. Have to wonder if that was an influence on the killer's activities (he was already getting counseling).
There have been vicious killers (and not just Charles Whitman in the UT tower in the mid-60s or Richard Speck in the nurses' dormitory...) rampaging for some time.
The media today glamorizes some of it. The Japanese movie Battle Royale predates Hunger Games by over a decade but was "too controversial" for mainstream release in America. Now it is sold as an under-R movie franchise. Teens still hunting teens.
Time was sadistic violence films played drive-ins and adult only grindhouse theaters. Now big studios make such films (and they air on cable television).

It's a false analogy. The parents of the killer are already on common ground with Mr. Martinez (they want gun laws toughened up and do NOT stand with their son's actions).
Meanwhile he's still silent over the knifings and SUV victims's manners of death.
If he's going to have a potty mouth, then he deserves it back in his face.
Salon (DNC) is already saying how great a mascot he is for the gun control agenda and how he has conservatives running scared.
It’s also come out how he has been in communication with the Sandy Hook parents to carry this message to the front page of newspapers.
Meanwhile the victims who were killed by means OTHER than guns don’t really matter in the end.
It was the threat of capture or gunfire that made the killer finally take his life (as he said he’d do).
Defense Attorneys are usually high profile...hmmm?
This guy gives off the same vibe as Cindy Sheehan or Rachel “Pancake” Corries’s parents. Sorry a$$ parents dancing on graves, finding it easy and pleasurable to be the dedicated, devoted, traumatized parents *after* their son or daughter had died.
I get the sense that there is some serious compensation going on, as though in real life they were all distant, cold, and unmerciful parents. Poor Casey Sheehan was probably just trying to keep peace by staying far away from his crazy, attention-craving mother.
Here is something interesting at the Memorial Service...guess who is over the California College Education System..None other than Janet Napolitano, who was head of Homeland Security and she spoke...that might be important.
