Obama says the new power plant rule will shrink power prices.

The EPA Admits Climate Rule Will Raise Electricity Prices.

Haven’t you noticed, this is the way Team BO operates.
“it was the video”, “it was terrorism”
“the economy is doing great”, “the economy is hitting bumps in the road”
“the healthcare law is a tax”, “the healthcare law is not a tax”
At different times they or their spokesmorons say different things...so that WHATEVER THE OUTCOME of a situation, they and their buttlickers in the media can say, “Like the administration said, xxxx”
“If you like your electricity prices, you can keep your electricity prices.”
“if you like coal-based, relatively less expensive power, you can keep your coal-based power”
if Americans let this stand, then we in fact have a king and deserve no freedom. seriously think about this.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
I know how these criminals operate, I just wanted to point out that these two opposing stories came out on THE SAME DAY.
For all their fumbling and bumbling, the Obama administration should be noted for one thing: they have changed the way the political-media axis operates by condensing the process or even removing a few steps.
In past years, if an administration did something mostly right with a few wrongs thrown in the mix, they might trumpet the right, defend or downplay the wrong, and eventually come clean on it since they had, on balance, succeeded. If they did something mostly wrong, they might defend it until nobody believed them or until someone proved they were in error, then fess up.
The Bammies have no time or tolerance for antiquated concepts like right and wrong. Instead, they hatch their plans with one single goal: to reflect credit on Barack Obama. This is often and erroneously called politics but politics at least tangentially involve elections, parties, downticket races, positioning for future elections, speakerships, chairmanships, etc. But, as Obama wistfully noted, hes done running for office. He is a lame duck determined to fly or at least disguise his bad wing.
But hes worried about the midterms! you say. Hogwash. Sure, a Democratic House and/or Senate might be a nostalgic return to the 2009 sausage factory days but Obama has demonstrated that he cant work with anyone - even raving delusional partisan hacks like Pelosi and Reid because he is unwilling, even unable, to share credit for anything. Its a lonely place but one quite familiar to him due to his sociopathology. He and his wife literally have no friends only political allies and toadies. The House is a lost cause through 2016, even with the weak GOP opposition leadership, so what use is the Senate? To the extent he cares about the midterms it will only be because they represent another popularity poll for him. But if the midterms are a disaster what does he care? Will he change his approach? Will he need to? Hes already perfected his finger-pointing routine. Hes got two arms and can easily point at two houses of Congress not just one.
Obamas urgency in manufacturing his own pathetic little political trophies has made him sloppy. Its clear he regards at least half the nation not just as political opposition, but as genuine enemies and he cant be bothered to disguise it any longer. Hes even isolated himself from traditional Democrat allies.
His vanity projects (read: executive orders etc.) will only get more brazen and bizarre as he grows more desperate.
So, either the 0bama regeme is lying or the 0bama regeme is lying.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they're using two sets of books get these statistics. One set of proposals will increase people's electric bills in the near term. Increased efficiency standards for fridges, etc. could eventually mean savings in electric bills.
But how do the two balance out -- the increased cost and the possible savings? I suspect it's something of a guessing game. They pick numbers will support their policies out of a hat. After all, they won't be in office when the actual statistics come out.

It’s not that difficult. Remember Obama told us during his first campaign that electric rates would “skyrocket” and coal plants would become unprofitable under his policies. And, don’t forget that Obama care will reduce your medical insurance by $2500/year.
Believe Tom Steyer’s adverts.
Millions of children are being rushed to emergency rooms as I write this - with asthma attacks.
