Both victims are expected to recover.
Two children were injured after an inflatable slide in Colorado became airborne upon being swept up by a gust of wind on Sunday.
The slide was carried nearly 300 feet while a young girl and a 10-year-old boy were still inside the structure.
The girl's injuries were treated at the scene, but an ambulance had to take the boy to a local hospital, where he is expected to recover fully.
Representatives for the company that operates the attraction say event staffers followed all the proper safety procedures, while organizers of the event say they are considering whether or not to sever future ties with the company.
The incident comes less than a month after a similar incident in New York state that injured three children.

The steel swing sets, galvanized pipe monkey bars, and metal slides of my youth never blew away. bounce houses have been around for a very long time, and it seems just recently that this is happening... the companies must be doing something differently... manufacturing them differently? they better figure it out or the libs are going to blame climate change... gusts of wind are stronger due to change in the environment caused by man...

I remember the Moon Bounce things from the 80’s but these slides seem to be a lot taller and not round (or even square) but rather rectangles. Neighbors rented one for a kids’ party but it was in a back yard with lots of outbuildings and fences around it (not an open field).

Sounds like the "safety procedures" could use some refinement. Like reading weather forecasts and properly securing anchors?

The only time we rented a bouncy house it came with sandbags and such to hold it down.
