We are dropping news at WSHH. Should have done that long ago. What we have been doing for news is a joke. It will be replaced with "5 things you need to know before you leave this morning." I will probably be asked to put that together but the things I would include aren't what the consultants would like.

They'll want Kardashian and Kanye, puppy parades at local schools...ANYTHING but what someone really needs to know.

If I can I'll pass.

Meanwhile Jack Bogut and Bill Cardille were called to the conference room yesterday. Presumably they were told what is happening with WJAS and they will no longer be on the station. No one knows exactly what went down but word is they didn't look happy.

So to distract myself from BO, Taliban, Bergdahl, Benghazi, the VA and the rest I am cooking and eating.

So, just catering to the Low Information crowd. I think that's how we got to this pass--too many people who are completely uninformed, and they vote. The dumbing-down of America is a deliberate strategy.

Too much awfulness in the news...I’m gonna give Barry and his Obots props...HE IS TRANSPARENT (now) in his efforts to turn the US into a third world nation.

I also (putting the tinfoil on) really have a weird, ugly feeling about the investigative journalist (remember those?) that wrote the Rolling Stone piece on the “missing” Bergdahl THEN had an accident (in a brand new Mercedes) and died. What all did Hastings learn/know/have access to on Bergdahl?

Sorry to hear about Bogut and Chilly Billy :( I think the “5 things you need to know” segment pretty much sums up our dumbed downness. I think we are at the tipping point...and once we tip over its over as we used to know it.

The only reason we’re no dropping cable is because of Fox News Channel. Say what you want, it’s still the most reliable of the stations for news. Love Bret Bair. OK, I also really like to watch “Restaurant Impossible”.

I make macarons. It takes lots of egg whites and I have lots of egg yolks left over. I found a really delicious lemon curd on Alton Browns website that uses lots of egg yolks. Also, I want to try the homemade peanut butter recipe from Alton Brown! I’m going to check out your links!

Jack Bogut and Bill Cardille have had long runs. I used to love listening to Bogut in the morning on KDKA.
