At a ceremony commemorating some of the bravest Americans of World War II, President Barack Obama reminded the "greatest generation" how the U.S. military has changed under his command, by slipping in references to immigrants and women.
"Rock, I want you to know that Staff Sgt. Melvin Sabillo Martin, who is here today, is following in your footsteps. He just had to become an American first. Because Melvin was born in Honduras, moved to the United States, joined the Army. After tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, he was reassigned to the 82nd Airborne. And Sunday, he'll parachute into Normandy.
"Wilson, you should know that Specialist Janice Rodriguez, who joined the Army not even two years ago, was assigned to the 101st Airborne and just last month earned the title of the 101st Airborne Division Air Assault Soldier of the Year. And that's inspiring, but not surprising, when the women of today's military have taken on responsibilities, including combat, like never before."
The remark was greeted with silence.
In January 2013, Obama -- invoking "fairness and equality" -- announced that he was "moving to open" more military positions, including ground combat units, to women.

Obama thought everyone was awestruck with his brilliance.
But, the fact is his presence is like a whore in church.....
Except, there is hope and a real possibility that the whore might repent and amend her ways.
Imagine a President Obama in 1941. The Battle of Midway would have been a disaster as someone in the White House leaked that we had broken the Japanese codes. Obama would have pissed off Winston Churchill and supported Neville Chamberlain to return as British PM. Secretary of State Kerry would have entered into secret negotiations with the Nazis to appease them with a take over of Britain in exchange for leaving the US alone. Obama would start appearing in a quasi military uniform made by a major Hollywood designer. Half the country today would be speaking German and celebrating the Hitler’s birthday while the west coast would be part of Japan.
And will themselves get shot themselves by Americans ARMED to the teeth.
I hope he rots in hell for eternity.

Higher and higher taxes?
Having their guns taken away?
Gay Marriage?
Insane public unions bankrupting their cities/states?
Illegal immigrants pouring into the country with the approval of government?
Secret wait lists for VA care?
Being regulated to death?
The IRS used to destroy political enemies?
Voter fraud on a massive level?
Etc.

Actually it is amazing the Japanese didn't pick up on this. News of the impending clash was rife in Honolulu as fleet units sortied from Pearl harbor to meet the Japanese. Subsequently the Chicago Tribune hailed the Navy's achievement in code breaking as a big factor in the victory. This was printed within days of the battle and the Tribune reporter got it from someone well inside Nimitz headquarters. Then as King and the navy held their breath some Congressman not once but twice raised the issue of the security breech by the Trib on the floor of the House and that was reported in newspapers pretty widely. Considering the number of Japanese intel assets in Hawaii It is just amazing that they didn't piece this story together.

I wish I could have such faith. While there may be fighting the willingness, ability and just plain pugnacity to endure what would happen is far above 99% of our capacities. Even in the hands of half-assed incompetents and cowards the fire power of various systems is enormous. On top of that are the powers the government now has with the patriot Act to pretty much ignore the Constitution and arrest, seize property, hold without acknowledging incarceration, seize family members (’to protect the children’) or you name it. The only effective measures are mass civil disobedience. This does not mean no violent resistance but a much more subtle blend of non-cooperation and muscle directed at collaborators and particular institutions such as the IRS. This sort of resistance takes organization and courage just like a regular army only using the power of numbers and the force of not being armed. Those participating have to realize they will be subject to terrorization but the idea is mass organization will win eventually as it grinds the oppressors down and wears them out.
