All I know is, throughout this ceremony I was wishing that Reagan were President. He brought a certain strength-yet-gentleness that is sorely missed.

By watching the ceremony, you would've thought the United States was a two-bit player in the invasion of Normandy. Argh!

British leftwingers are always pushing the memo that America had nothing to do with winning the Second World War. I’m not surprised the entire EU thinks the same thing.

Sadly, they’ll miss us when we’ve gone under!

I had a thought while reading through FR postings the past few days. It seems that the last time US citizens actually chose the president was with Ronald Reagan.

From George 1 until now, it's all seemed pre-ordained.
