Why should he be punished for that?

ooooooo, cool.
Pass the popcorn this will be fun to watch. The Sodomite PC Justice squad will doubtless crucify this poor bastard! Or perhaps they’ll lynch him.

Can they do both?

He better be carrying soap on a rope in the showers!

It seems that police officers can get away with shooting a handcuffed suspects, beating homeless, crazy guys to death, shoot anybody’s dog, taser Grandma, kill old guys at a nursing home for swinging a cane....

But this, THIS homophobia....

They cannot allow it!!!

Fire him! He’ll never work in law enforcement agaib!

To force him to attend the parade is sexual harassment at work!

He’ll likely get sentenced to steam-clean and bleach the alleyways of the parade route the next morning...Goo Removal Detail.

Police officers had to provide protection at Klan rallies in Illinois, Justice for Trayvon marches, etc.

Just because you are tasked with keeping the peace in the midst of a bunch of degenerates doesn't mean you are agreeing with or endorsing degeneracy.

If you don't want to deal with the scum of the earth on a daily basis, don't take a job as a police officer.

Dealing with the scum of the earth is one thing; protecting them is another.

That's the job.

How many murderers and rapists are escorted from jail to court and back again every day?

How many cops have had to risk their lives to prevent lowlife drugdealers from murdering other lowlife drugdealers?

We all have equal rights under the law: the nun, the crackhead, the family man, the pervert, etc.

Unlike the Colorado baker, who was deprived of his fundamental right to decide whether or not he wanted to enter into a contract, this guy volunteered for a job he knew required him to put his life on the line for every citizen.

I don’t blame him - even if he has no ideological point of view. These are disgusting. I’ll never forget the look on the faces of Islamists during the Paris gay pride parade circa 2000. I knew then we were in horrible trouble.

It would be one thing if these “gay pride” parades involved dignified behavior but the ones I’ve seen have been freak shows with burly bearded guys in pink tutus twirling batons. Or worse. How do you explain something like that to little kids?

That's the job.

No it isn't. Something being "legal" is not the equivalent of it being right.

If this were Charleston in 1810, should he be required to work a "Parade" of slaves being transported to the auction block?

If this were Berlin in 1940, should he be required to work a "Parade" of Jews being sent to the cattle cars?

Again, Legal and "right" are two different things, and we should always oppose evil, even when it's legal.

How many murderers and rapists are escorted from jail to court and back again every day?

If these people were suspects and prisoners, you would have a point. That *IS* part of the job, and it is well understood to be part of the job prior to the fact of taking the job. But That is not what is happening here. In this case, the man is expected to provide assistance in promoting a very evil cause, and one which every decent person should oppose; The normalization of a deadly perversion.

We all have equal rights under the law: the nun, the crackhead, the family man, the pervert, etc.

So you say, but during the time the founders were writing the bill of rights, Homosexuals were executed. As a matter of fact, Homosexuality has been an imprisonable offense up until the 1960s. It was classified as a mental illness until 1973, and the only reason it was removed from the list of mental illnesses was because a massive mob of homosexuals showed up at an annual meeting of the American Psychiatry Associations in 1973, and threatened all the doctors unless they changed it.

Unlike the Colorado baker, who was deprived of his fundamental right to decide whether or not he wanted to enter into a contract, this guy volunteered for a job he knew required him to put his life on the line for every citizen.

Really? So again, if it were a Parade of Jews to the cattle cars, or a parade of slaves to the auction block, this officer is obligated to do his duty as a law enforcement officer and participate in these evil practices? You do know this "I was just following orders" defense was rejected at the Nuremberg trials, don't you?

No, a man should do what is right, and what is right is refusing to participate or condone a parade of evil.

This is poor logic.

The theoretical cop in your examples is not forcing anyone to be enslaved or led to their deaths against their will.

Your analogy is fatally flawed. People at that parade, for reasons unfathomable to me, actually want to be there.

Also, the Founders did not execute sodomites.

If any sodomite had ever been executed in this country, he would years ago have been transformed into a famous martyr, with schools named after him, an award-winning New York Times bestseller biography of him, a commemorative postage stamp, etc.

Don't manufacture history.
