First third: Trayvon is a monster. A burglar, a fighter, a vicious thug. George Zimmerman is a good family man and neighborhood guardian. Trayvon attacks George (unprovoked) Trayvon does serious damage. George is on the verge of death when he manages to defend himself and survive.
Last two-thirds: Saint Trayvon is lauded by the media and the president. Everyone loves that sweet young boy. George Zimmerman is hounded and persecuted by a vengeful country.
It might make a lot of people really think about things.

My guess is that Will Smith is just trying to help his son break into the business. He’s not doing it for the money.
I don’t think there are that many people who really want to see it. Special screenings or straight to DVD only.

If this movie portrays Zimmerman as a violent, racist murderer of an innocent young black child, I hope Zimmerman will sue Will Smith for every penny he has.

And no, it won’t be a commercial success unless the actors aren’t getting paid at all and the film crew is getting paid minimum wage.
I wonder who Smith will be casting for his epic movie about all the black on white mob beatings and killings?
He has done a few movies, just nothing on his own yet. His father has been involved in every movie he has done.
That’s probably why, for a Hollywood kid, he hasn’t had more success.
Will we have the scene where St. Trayvon is researching alternate methods of making “purple drank”?
What about his various burglaries?
What about his other violent acts that got him kicked out of school and his mother’s home?
